NEET UG Counselling 2025: MCC to start Round 1 counselling for medical admissions from July 21 at NEET UG Counselling 2025: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will open the registration window for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 on July 21, 2025. This counselling process is being conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses in medical and dental colleges across India under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other central institutions. Approximately 12.36 lakh candidates have qualified the NEET UG 2025 examination, competing for around 1.18 lakh MBBS seats available across 780 medical colleges nationwide. The NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted in four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round. Important dates for NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 1 Candidates must follow the official schedule released by MCC. The key dates for Round 1 are as follows: Activity Dates Registration & Fee Payment July 21 – July 28, 2025 Choice Filling/Locking July 22 – July 28, 2025 (Locking from 4 PM on July 28) Seat Allotment Process July 29 – July 30, 2025 Result Announcement July 31, 2025 Reporting/Joining College August 1 – August 6, 2025 Counselling authority and participating institutions MCC conducts counselling for the 15% AIQ seats along with 100% seats in AMU, BHU, JMI, ESIC, AIIMS, JIPMER, DU, IP University, VMMC, and ABVIMS. Candidates should visit the official website for updates and notifications. For the 85% State Quota (SQ) seats, candidates must follow their respective state counselling authorities and check their official portals for detailed schedules and eligibility requirements. Documents required for NEET UG Counselling 2025 Candidates must keep the following documents ready for verification and seat allotment: • NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates • Birth Certificate (if not included in Class 10 certificate) • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD, if applicable) • Domicile Certificate (for State Quota) • Passport-size photographs (same as in NEET application) • Photo ID (Aadhaar Card or equivalent) • Provisional Allotment Letter • Migration Certificate (if applicable) • Medical Fitness Certificate NEET UG Counselling fees and security deposit For the 15% AIQ and Central Universities: • General/EWS: Rs 1,000 (non-refundable) + Rs 10,000 (refundable) • SC/ST/OBC/PwD: Rs 500 (non-refundable) + Rs 5,000 (refundable) For Deemed Universities: • All categories: Rs 5,000 (non-refundable) + Rs 2,00,000 (refundable) Nationwide seat availability and top states As per the National Medical Commission (NMC), India offers 1,18,190 MBBS seats across 780 medical colleges. NEET UG 2025 Counselling Schedule (Out): Registration begins on July 21, Round 1 seat allotment on July 31
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the official schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2025 on its website As per the notification, candidates who have qualified in the NEET UG 2025 examination, conducted earlier this year, can begin registering for Round 1 of counselling from July 21, 2025. The NEET UG 2025 result was declared on June 14, 2025. The MCC will conduct four rounds of NEET UG counselling for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programmes under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and for central, deemed universities. This also includes AIIMS, JIPMER, AMU, BHU, ESIC institutions. If any seats remain vacant after the fourth round, stray vacancy rounds are conducted to fill them after the third and fourth rounds. Only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling covers the following categories: –15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats –100% seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and ESIC institutions –Institutional quota seats managed through MCC –AFMC and IP quota at ESIC –Central and Deemed University admissions
