A Horrific Injury For Eddie Kingston
Eddie Kingston has been out of action since May of 2024. He suffered a catastrophic leg injury at the NJPW Strong Resurgence event during a match where he lost the STRONG Openweight Championship to Gabe Kidd.
During the match, Kingston was put through a table at ringside, but the spot went wrong and his leg smashed violently into the steel guardrail. The impact resulted in a broken tibia and a torn ACL and meniscus, a complex and career-threatening combination of injuries.
The Reign of The "Mad King"
The injury came at the absolute peak of Eddie Kingston's 20-year career. After decades on the independent circuit, he had finally reached the top of the mountain.
