Implement central projects: BJP to Congress
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana vice president NVSS Prabhakar has asked the Congress govt to maintain the federal spirit by cooperating and implementing central projects using funds given by the Centre. Addressing a press conference, Prabhakar said "Both the Congress govt and then BRS govt are habituated to just making false allegations that the Centre is not giving (funds) to Telangana, there are many projects which are delayed because of the Telangana govt." Listing out various projects, he said: "The Uppal elevated corridor project was sanctioned six years back, but the state govt is not cooperating. Even in the case of Cherpalli railway station, there is no cooperation, land acquisition and other pending work from state govt moves at a snail's pace." He stated that there was no difference between Congress and BRS govts, both were the same in not implementing the central schemes. "Many houses were built for the poor in the country as part of PM Awas Yojana, but Telangana govt doesn't implement this, before preaching the Centre to maintain federal spirit, chief minister A Revanth Reddy should use the central funds properly," he added.

BJP demands early completion of Uppal elevated corridor project
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana took out a rally demanding to speed up the construction works of the proposed Uppal elevated corridor project, which has been pending for the last six years. Addressing the media on Saturday, Stat BJP vice-president and Uppal ex-MLA NVSS Prabhakar demanded the State government take measures for early completion of the Uppal elevated corridor project sanctioned by the Modi government when he was party MLA. The project was not yet completed due to the apathetic attitude of the TRS government. He alleged that it took six years to change water, sewerage, and electricity lines besides the land acquisition and irregularities in payments of land compensation. He said Union Minister Nitin Gadkari had laid the foundation for the project for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi sanctioned Rs 600 crore. He alleged that the non-cooperation of the then TRS government led by KCR and his son KTR, who was municipal administration minister, had delayed the completion of the project commissioned for the benefit of the people. The GHMC is in slumber, affecting the completion of civic works like laying shifting lines for drinking water, and sewerage, shifting of electric poles and delay in land acquisition. The Congress government is also non-cooperative, and the GHMC's attitude has not changed. Because of this, delay, people in the Uppal area suffer from traffic jams and frequent accidents. However, the GHMC, and SRDP wing did not finalize the Uppal Cross Roads Development plan is yet to be prepared, this is going to be another hurdle in the completion of this project as Rs 20 crore fine is also levied by the central government for the delay by the state government in shifting the utilities. Prabhakar urged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who is scheduled to visit the city on May 5, to issue instructions on the state government to take up the works on war-footing and complete the Uppal elevated corridor project as early for the benefit of the people.

Flush out illegal immigrants from Hyd'bad, demands BJP
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana pitched for immediate identification of Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals in the state capital and urged to deport them against the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack. Addressing the media on Thursday, State BJP vice-president and former MLA Dr NVSS Prabhakar demanded the State government to direct the police and give them a free hand to evict foreign nationals allegedly living beyond the expiry of their visas, and Bangladeshi citizens illegally entering the country and living in the Old City. He alleged that the AIMIM has been in alliance with the BRS party for some time. Now it is working with the Congress, which is in power. It is seen that the police are rendered helpless to take stringent action in many cases to carry out raids and arrest the Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, he added. The BJP leader recalled that the NIA and IB have issued warnings on many occasions that there are sleeper cells in Hyderabad. 'As an immediate precautionary measure, we demand the state government to demolish the sleeper cells illegally residing in the Old City of Hyderabad,' he demanded. He said the lesson that needs to be learnt from the Pahalgam attack is that political and opportunistic alliances should not put the lives of people at risk. 'The Pahalgam terror incident has shaken the country. At this juncture, the central government has announced some tough decisions. The people of India believe that the organisations, individuals and neighboring countries that instigated terrorism will definitely have to pay the price,' he said.
