NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles
NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles originally appeared on Parade. Sixty-six-year-old Lawrence Taylor, best known as 'L.T.,' joins Eli Manning and Michael Strahan as one of the most iconic players to ever suit up for the New York Giants. Advertisement Taylor made a recent surprise appearance at the Giants' OTAs (Organized Team Activities), where he offered pearls of wisdom on teamwork to the current defensive squad. But it was his appearance following recent legal troubles last summer that had everyone talking. Related: NFL Star Stefon Diggs In Hot Water Over Troubling Viral Video While encouraging the players to spend time together outside of practice to build camaraderie on the field, Taylor described the group as 'like a bunch of crazy dogs' who need to play as 'one unit.' Before leaving the group, L.T. lamented no longer playing football, stating: 'I wish I could still play, but I'm too goddamned old, you know? I can't do it no more." Despite the comment, his presence at the Giants' training facility was anything but aged. Wearing black sweats and a gray-and-black sweatshirt, Taylor looked fit and healthy, even with a newly grayed beard. His appearance was a welcome sight for fans of the athlete, who also had a memorable role in Oliver Stone's Any Given Sunday. Taylor's past legal troubles and history with drug use have previously made him the subject of dramatic headlines. The former Giants star — widely regarded as the greatest defensive player of all time — told The New York Times in 2003 that "L.T. is dead." Despite Taylor's attempt to put his fast-living persona to rest, the former NFL star was arrested for failing to report his address, a requirement of past legal issues stemming from Lawrence's interaction with an underage prostitute. The case against Taylor was dismissed in July 2024. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Advertisement NY Giants Legend, 66, Shocks Everyone With Appearance After Past Struggles first appeared on Parade on May 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on May 29, 2025, where it first appeared.

Jaxson Dart's Request at Giants Practice is Turning Heads
The New York Giants came out of the 2025 NFL Draft acquiring a lot of impressive fresh talent, selecting a total of seven players, with Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN grading the haul as an A-. There's no doubt their biggest additions come in the form of Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter, with the No. 3 pick, and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart, whom they traded up to get at No. 25. Advertisement Now, the Giants get the opportunity to see all of their rookies in action for the first time at a mini-camp, which started on Friday and will run through Sunday. That also means these players get to talk to the media, and before answering any questions on Friday, Dart asked that each reporter introduce themself so he can "put a face to the name." The request has caught the attention of several Giants fans on social media, who are now praising the young quarterback for his gesture. "Set the tone for mutual respect right away. That's a power move," said one comment. "A breath of fresh air #NYGiants," said another. Advertisement "I respect Jaxson Dart doing this. He's getting to know us as media. It fits with him telling us after the draft he cares about getting to know his teammates on both sides of the ball," a third added. A fourth stated, 'They got a good one." "I like how Dart's commanding the room here. He's going to a leader and future captain for the #NYGiants I know that much," a fifth continued. "We got a leader!!" said another. NY Giants NFL draft picks 2025: Live round-by-round selections
EAST RUTHERFORD - One of the few benefits of a 3-win season - perhaps the only one - is not having to wait long on NFL Draft Night to be on the clock for a team's first selection. The Giants certainly will not be sitting around doing nothing when the festivities kick off at 8 p.m. Thursday night at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are certainly facing a complicated situation heading into their fourth draft together, but when it comes to their first pick - No. 3 overall - the reality appears simple, relatively speaking. Advertisement Still, there's little doubt that what the Giants do over the course of the rest of the draft will shape the future of the franchise, good or bad. The expectation is, provided the first two picks go chalk with the Titans taking Miami quarterback Cam Ward and the Browns selecting Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, that the Giants will choose Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter at No. 3. Even Carter - a Philadelphia Eagles fan all his life - indicated Wednesday that he was anticipating a new home in the Big Apple, not to mention a change in his loyalty. "Once I go to New York, I'm all New York," Carter told Bruce Beck of WNBC 4 New York at a Play 60 event in Green Bay. "I'm gonna have to leave Philly behind.'
