Nahyan bin Zayed honours Emirati runner Salem Al Hashemi

6 May 2025 17:08 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Asian Individual Chess Championships for Men and Women – Masters Section will be held at Danat Al Ain Resort from May 6-16, organised by Al Ain Chess Club and the UAE Chess Federation, under the supervision of both the Asian and International Chess Federations, the event is considered the largest in the history of Asian Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, President of the Asian Chess Federation and Chairman of Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club, stated that hosting the championship in Al Ain reflects the UAE's position as a leading hub for mind sports, and embodies the leadership's vision of supporting international intellectual and sports of the Asian Chess Federation, Hisham Al Taher, explained that the championship serves as a platform to discover new champions and qualify them for the 2025 World will see more than 600 male and female players from 38 Asian countries, and a record 284 players in the Classical Championship, compared to just 142 in the 2022 edition in India. 29 Mar 2025 23:05 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), the Abu Dhabi Grand Kingfish Championship will be held from April 4 to 6, event is organised by the ADSC, Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club (ADMSC).The competition will take place across three locations in the emirate: Abu Dhabi, Al Mirfa, and Delma Island. Both professional and amateur anglers, including men and women, are invited to participate, competing for a total prize pool of Dh1.168 million, awarded across the top 60 prizes will also be offered to encourage participation and enhance championship is part of the Abu Dhabi Grand Kingfish Championship series, which includes the previous Al Dhafra Grand Kingfish and Al Mugheira Grand Kingfish events, as well as the upcoming Yas Grand Kingfish competition. The season champions (both male and female), who accumulate the highest points across the season's competitions, will receive a car. H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Inaugurates Burjeel Orthopedic Institute at Burjeel Medical City
His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, has inaugurated the Burjeel Orthopedic Institute at Burjeel Medical City (BMC), the flagship quaternary care facility under Burjeel Holdings. The newly launched Burjeel Orthopedic Institute, led by a team of Emirati medical experts, brings together a comprehensive range of offerings catering to both adults and children, covering orthopedic medicine and surgery, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and bone cancer treatment. His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured the Institute, where he was introduced to state-of-the-art medical technologies and world-class equipment.
