We spoke to Wayne Lineker about Arne Slot's Ibiza celebrations
Wayne Lineker has revealed how he planned Arne Slot's Liverpool FC's Premier League title celebrations in Ibiza. The Reds clinched the victory in style at a jubilant Anfield with a thumping 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last month. After this, the manager took the opportunity to head to the Balearic Islands. In various social media posts, the Dutchman can be seen being welcomed onto the Ocean Beach stage with Queen's 'We Are the Champions' playing, while a group of women held up cards that read 'Champions.' Later on, in some clips, 'Freed From Desire' begins to play, while in an Instagram story posted by former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney, Slot can be seen enjoying the atmosphere in one of Ibiza's most famous clubs. Wayne, the club's owner, also posted a picture of himself with Slot on Instagram, with the caption reading: 'Caption this #YWNA' accompanied by a heart and clap emoji. He also posted a video of the Liverpool boss making his way to the DJ booth, with the caption: 'No words. What a day.' Now, Wayne has told the ECHO how the party came about. Speaking to the ECHO from the city's National Influencer Awards, the 63-year-old said: 'It was amazing for me because I got three million views out of it. It was pure gold, amazing. He is a very, very nice man. 'He was very embarrassed about it all, but I had planned for him. He had zero chance of out-drinking me, though. He may be champion of the league, but I am the champion of Ibiza.' The nightclub tycoon joked that he was extending his stay in the city to enjoy the victory parade. Wayne walked away as the winner of the Entrepreneur influencer of the year award from the city's first National Influencer Awards. Held at the Crowne Plaza, the event spotlighted people from various industries and celebrated creativity, impact, and excellence in digital influence. The ceremony came about after founder Katherine Jones said she was 'sick of seeing' celebrations everywhere but in the city. The 35-year-old businesswoman, from Garston, previously told the ECHO: 'I've been in the marketing industry for 10 years, and these days, there's an award for everything but for influencers. I've never been nominated as an agency or any of the influencers I represent. "But I've been to lots of award shows, and they're always in London. You see them everywhere but here, there's nothing here in the north for us, nothing even quite similar. We were sick of seeing that gap. "I want to bring influencers to come here to experience Liverpool, get them here to spend their money, tag local businesses in the city and create the hype the city deserves. "We're bringing everyone here under one roof. There's a gap in the market, and we're going to fill it.'

Ashley Cain and his ex Safiyya Vorajee put on a matching display in green outfits as they reunite at the National Influencer Awards in Liverpool four years after their daughter Azaylia's tragic death
Ashley Cain and his ex Safiyya Vorajee put on a matching display in green outfits as they reunited at the National Influencer Awards in Liverpool on Friday. The former Ex On The Beach star, 34, first became a father with his ex-partner Safiyya when the couple welcomed daughter Azaylia who tragically passed away from leukaemia in April 2021 at the age of eight months. The pair's relationship then broke down and Ashley has since become a father to two sons. He welcomed his eldest son Aliyas with a new partner in January last year and also has a five-month old son Atlas too. It is not known if the mother of his third child is the same woman who had his second. MailOnline contacted Ashley's representatives for comment at the time However it appears Ashley and Safiyya have maintained some form of friendship as they were seen putting on a united front at the glitzy event four years on from Azaylia's death. Ashley looked handsome as he turned up in a green blazer, white shirt, blue tie and grey trousers which he matched with a waistcoat. He added an extra hint of glamour as he toted around his belongings in a Louis Vuitton bucket bag. The influencer put on an extravagant display for his arrival as he turned up in his lavish bright purple sports car. Meanwhile Safiyya looked incredible in a figure-hugging, sleeveless green dress which featured a unique boxed design. Ashley is also father to Atlas, who is five months, but it is not known if the mother of his unborn third child is the same woman as his second son. Safiyya has previously admitted she hasn't met Ashley's new children but added there was no bad blood between the pair and said they're still friends. She said: 'That's one of those things - our friendship has just blossomed really healthily and it's no secret. 'If that comes in the future, I'm a very welcoming person, so if we all end up somewhere, I'm always going to be kind. ' And following the birth of Ashley's two sons, Aliyas and Atlas, Safiyya has been considering getting back out on to the dating scene but revealed she has been struggling to find anyone. 'I just can't seem to find anybody – I really can't,' she said. 'I've only just recently been open to dating, because I've really worked so hard on myself. 'I wanted to work through my grief and have therapy, and I didn't want to take an unhealed version of myself to somebody else. 'It's not a case of wanting to find someone, it's more a case of looking within myself and trying to work out who I am now, and what I want in life.' Despite struggling to meet new people, the star dismissed the idea of using dating apps, explaining she liked a more 'old-school' approach and meeting people in person. She said: 'I'm such an old-school girl, I just find this whole new generation so much more difficult, and I don't know how to get my head around it. 'For me it's about in-person connection, and the energy – I have to feel it, because I'm not in a rush either. I feel like it will come when it's going to come, and I feel like my daughter is guiding me in the right direction, and God is protecting me. 'I've had to really build myself from rock bottom, and that doesn't happen just overnight. 'Now I'm good, and I can accept if anybody wants to date me, and if I like them and enjoy them, then I'm open to that, whereas I wasn't a year ago.' And as she is opening herself up to love again, she is also opening herself up to the idea of more children - explaining she no longer shuts down the possibility. But the beauty went on to say that she is waiting to find the right person and doesn't want to rush in to anything. 'For me it always goes round in circles in my mind, because it's a really scary thing for me, but I always believe that if I'm with the right person, I don't shut it down now,' she said. 'I'm open to that as well. I'm open to rebuilding our family and a home, and if I don't find the right man then I won't be, but I am open to that in the future.' And the star is taking things seriously, even exploring the option of freezing her eggs although she explained that a doctor told her it wasn't necessary. She told MailOnline: 'I actually went to one of the people who freezes your eggs, and basically, he told me that it's not necessary for me to freeze my eggs right now. 'I don't know the ins and outs, and I need to get more information, but he told me that if he took the eggs out, and I then tried to get pregnant with my next partner, then it could be the fact that there's not enough fertile eggs in there where you could get pregnant at this age. 'After being told that, I thought there isn't any point then.' But throughout it all she has received a lot of support from celebrities including Lauren Goodger who also tragically lost her daughter Lorena, who was born in July 2022 'with no pregnancy or labour complications' before her death at two days old. Despite the support and the passing of time, Safiyya is still receiving professional help and still goes to therapy regularly although she has managed to cut down and is proud of her progress. She revealed: 'Initially, I was having it three times a week, because it was so dark, I felt like I didn't want to be here anymore. 'I needed to constantly have therapy to help me get through those weeks, and then I broke it down to two sessions a week, and I'm on one a week now. I feel proud that I've been able to tailor that off.' Ashley announced the birth of his third child earlier this year as he shared several snaps of the tot and said his heart was 'bursting with love and excitement'. Announcing the birth of his third son, Ashley wrote: 'Atlas, you will always have the most beautiful, strong, and courageous guardian angel watching over you in your big sister, Azaylia' She revealed: 'Initially, I was having it three times a week, because it was so dark, I felt like I didn't want to be here anymore. 42-year-old dad started dating teenage Welsh girl and it caused such a stir they both quit their jobs
Mark Hillary, 45, and Ellie Liptrot, 21, are a couple making waves on TikTok with nearly 80,000 followers. Ellie, originally from Wales, and the father-of-two, have faced some criticism due to their 24-year age gap, but say they relish in the attention—especially from online trolls. The couple, known by their username 'It's The Hillary's', started their relationship when Mark was 42 and Ellie was just 18, after years of friendship, reports the Manchester Evening News. The two are now expecting their first child together. Mark explains, "The relationship grew naturally as we had known of each other for a while beforehand." He adds, "So people knew us as friends first before being together, so there wasn't a really shocking factor for our family and friends because they saw it happen naturally. Our friend groups have mixed for quite a while." Their rise to social media fame was unintentional. What began as simple posts of trendy videos and vlogs soon exploded into a full-time career, allowing them to leave their regular jobs behind. Ellie, who previously worked as a dental nurse, says, "We were just posting like everyone else, and it just blew up. We would always reply to comments with more videos, so it just kept going. It was by accident, really. What started as us posting about living our lives has turned into this." Now, as full-time content creators, Ellie shares, "It grew so big that we were able to leave our jobs. We didn't really consider it a risk because at that point, we didn't have to worry about working because we already had that income." Despite their online success, they've continued to deal with the occasional rude comment, but the couple insists they are unbothered. Mark says, "We're very thick-skinned. If we weren't, we would never have started this and put ourselves out there on social media. "The rude comments don't really get to us. We have quite a laugh with it because it's usually people with #BeKind in their bio who have something hateful to write under our videos of us just being us." Ellie added: "If anything, we like the attention. We find it funny." For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter The dynamic duo has recently been nominated for the Best Family award at the National Influencer Awards, which will take place in Liverpool on May 16 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The event will celebrate digital influencers making a positive impact in fields like fashion, beauty, travel, fitness, technology, and lifestyle. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Ellie expressed her surprise and excitement about the nomination. "It was a surprise to be nominated, but it's exciting at the same time," she shared. "We've never done anything like this before because it's all new to us." Looking to the future, Ellie revealed plans for the family to start producing YouTube-style vlogs, aiming to release a new episode every week after their first child arrives.
