Mumbai's iconic Naturals Ice Cream launches in Chennai on KNK road
Fruit. Sugar. Milk. That is all it takes to make good ice cream, and Mumbai's iconic brand Naturals is a testament to this. The brand that has become synonymous with time, taste, and temptation has finally opened its first store in Chennai, and it is the perfect antidote to the city's scorching heat. What began as a fruit vendor's curiosity to blend real fruit into ice cream has grown into a near 40-year-old legacy which now boasts 178 stores across 15 states and a place among the world's most iconic ice cream brands. Nestled in KNK road, this 1,119 store, is the brand's 178th branch. As I walked into the store, I was greeted by a fresh, fruity aroma and vibrant walls adorned with colourful murals of fruit: Mahabaleshwar strawberries, Ratnagiri mangoes, coconuts from Kerala. With 21 flavours like tender coconut, mango, roasted almond and more on display, the store will keep switching up the seasonal flavours. Kala jamun, jackfruit, and lychee are this summer's top sellers. Unique blends like papaya pineapple, spicy guava, and orange pistachio are also on offer, along with dry fruit-based flavours and chocolate varieties. Along with scoops of ice cream they also have ice cream shakes and fruit sundaes. The store stays true to the brand's commitment to authenticity. Each ice cream is handcrafted, and the menu changes with the seasons to reflect the harvest. Even the waffle cones are made from scratch, adding to the freshness of the experience. We tasted the mango sundae — a scoop of the rich and creamy malai ice cream, topped with freshly chopped Ratnagiri mangoes. The lychee ice cream was luscious and tasted just like eating the fruit. 'It is different in terms of the look and feel in comparison to the other stores. We are trying to bring the nature element. Every corner tells a story.' explains Royston Pereira, Marketing Manager, on the uniqueness of this branch. There is a story wall which has stories from factory workers explaining the brand's humble beginnings. This will soon be filled with customer experiences and feedback as well. Naturals Ice Cream is located at No 10/4, old no. 29, Kader Nawas Khan Road, Thousand Lights. One scoop of ice cream costs ₹90.

How ice cream parlour near Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan's house today became Rs 3000000000 business? it's named as…
In 1984, Mumbai's Juhu, where Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Hrithik Roshan reside was a developing area. Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath founded the first Naturals Ice Cream outlet in a 200 sq. ft. shop. He wanted to give ice creams made of pure, fresh fruits, and made with simple ingredients like milk and sugar. Kamath's father was a fruit vendor. He left school at the age of 14 and started assisting his brother in the eatery business. During this time his urge to start something of his own grew. He parted ways with his brother and invested Rs 3.5 lakh in Naturals Ice Cream business. His first menu had 12 unique flavors like sitaphal, tender coconut, jackfruit, muskmelon, and kala jamun. Celebrity Connection Kamath wanted to open his first outlet in Juhu as planned by him. It was due to the glamour of Bollywood stars due to which it was crowded and different customers used to come there. 'Celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, and Hema Malini stayed in the area. I thought they'd draw more crowds,' Kamath once told The Telegraph . He believed the power of word-of-mouth will help his brand to grow. The unique flavors and quality of Naturals Ice Cream slowly became the household name. They also expanded the menu to more than 20 flavors like gajar halwa, tilgul, cucumber, and prasadam. Natural Ice Cream In World A single shop later grew into a Rs 300+ crore business with over 165 outlets in 15 states in India. Natural coconut flavor became famous worldwide. At just 14, he left school to help in his brother's eatery, 'Gokul Refreshments.' It was there that the spark for something bigger took root. He envisioned an ice cream that didn't rely on artificial flavors or mass production—but rather celebrated the rich bounty of Indian fruits. After parting ways with his brother, Kamath invested Rs 3.5 lakh and launched Naturals Ice Cream with a mere six staff members and a tiny 200 sq. ft. shop. His vision was clear: to craft pure, fruit-based ice creams with simple ingredients—fruit, milk, and sugar. The inaugural menu featured just 12 flavors, including sitaphal, tender coconut, jackfruit, muskmelon, and kala jamun. Naturals Ice Cream has now grown into a Rs 300+ crore enterprise with more than 165 outlets spread across 15 states in India. Its Tender Coconut flavor has even earned international recognition. Pushing boundaries even today, the company recently introduced vending machines to offer 24/7 ice cream access. This blend of tradition and innovation continues to drive Naturals forward. From a small shop in Juhu to a nationwide brand adored by millions, his journey is a testament to what can be built from a simple idea, pure ingredients, and an unshakable dream.
