In a deeply alarming incident that raised serious safety concerns, a drunk man allegedly drove his car onto the platform of the Meerut Cantt railway station, narrowly missing the train during late night on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The video of the incident is now going viral on social media, with some making jokes about the incident, while others are slamming the civic sense of people. Later, the man in the car was identified as Army personnel Sandeep Daka, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The incident triggered panic among passengers and raised questions over the security of the railway station. As per the officials, the accused Sandeep Daka is a resident of Baghpat and is currently posted in Delhi, reports HT. The vehicle, a private car, breached security barriers and sped onto the station premises, eventually making its way onto the platform itself. Eyewitnesses said the car appeared out of nowhere and came within inches of a train that had just begun to move.
