Neom reach agreement with Marseille target Saïmon Bouabré
According to a report from RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Neom SC have reached an agreement on personal terms with AS Monaco's Saïmon Bouabré (19). The midfielder has accepted a five-year contract with the Saudi Arabian club and will be rewarded with an extremely generous salary. L'Équipe explains that the two clubs have reached an agreement for €10m excluding bonuses, with the midfielder set to join a club that has recruited heavily from France this summer. The teenager has made four appearances for his formative club, but with his contract expiring next summer, he wants to leave the club. A situation which led Monaco to block his involvement with the France U21s at this year's Euro campaign. Olympique de Marseille had looked to capitalise on this situation and were recently reported to have made contact with Monaco over a transfer. However, it appears that the Saudi Arabian side have won the player's favour. GFFN | Nick Hartland

Nantes' Nathan Zézé agrees Neom SC move
Nantes centre-back Nathan Zézé (20) is on the verge of signing for promoted Saudi Pro League side Neom SC, according to a report from L'Equipe. The France U21 international has agreed to pursue his promising career in Saudi Arabia. It appears Neom SC have stolen a march on a handful of European clubs in the race to sign the highly-rated Nantes Academy product. Villarreal were reportedly close to securing his signing as the Submarino Amarillo were scouring the market for a centre-back following Logan Costa's serious injury. The outlet understands that Villarreal, which will play in the Champions League next season, submitted a €14m bid with a further €4m in performance-related add-ons. Neom SC then pounced with a €20m bid that has been ultimately accepted by Nantes. Foot Mercato adds that Zézé will receive 'never-seen-before' wages for a player as inexperienced as him. Neom SC plotting a move for Strasbourg's Ismaël Doukouré
Neom SC are plotting an ambitious swoop to acquire the services of Strasbourg's Ismaël Doukouré (21), according to a report from L'Équipe. The Saudi Pro League newcomers are executing an aggressive recruitment effort this summer and the defence is their next area of priority. As Neom look to bolster their defence, they have targeted the young Strasbourg defender. Doukouré played an important part in Liam Rosenior's squad last season. The France U21 international made 31 appearances in Ligue 1 as the Racing Club qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League. It remains to be seen if the 21-year-old would be interested in a move to Saudi Arabia. A double swoop from BlueCo? Doukouré is not the only defender that Neom are targeting this summer. The Saudi outfit have also expressed an interest in signing Axel Disasi (27) from Chelsea. Despite their initial interest, no negotiations have yet taken place with the Ligue 1 club. Saudi side drop out of Xhaka race – Sunderland and Fenerbahce still in the running
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Granit Xhaka will not be joining Neom SC this summer. After agreeing personal terms with the Swiss international, the Saudi Arabian side saw an opening €8 million offer rejected by Bayer Leverkusen. Unwilling to raise their bid, Neom SC have now withdrawn from the race. Tavolieri adds that Sunderland and Fenerbahce are currently the leading contenders for Xhaka's signature, though there is a sense the midfielder is holding out for the best possible offer. A stay at Leverkusen also remains an option, with Die Werkself hopeful that clarity over his future will come soon. 'Of course, we're now in the phase where we're finalizing the squad – that's obvious. Granit plays an important role in that, which is why it certainly won't be an issue that drags on throughout the entire transfer window," Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes recently said.
