49ers superstar calls undrafted teammate 'a freak'
The San Francisco 49ers have had a lot of talent on their roster over the last few years, so for someone like George Kittle, who is among the best that San Francisco has had, to be impressed by a rookie, that says a lot. However, this year, Kittle has really enjoyed working with undrafted rookie wide receiver Isaiah Neyor throughout organized team activities and mandatory minicamp. 'He's a good kid,' Kittle said on a recent appearance on 'Bussin' With The Boys' with former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton from Tight End University. 'I like him. He's a freak.' Neyor, 24, was a two-star recruit out of Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas before committing to Wyoming. After two years he transferred to Texas, and two years later, he transferred for one final season at Nebraska. In his collegiate career, which was severely impacted by injuries, Neyor appeared in 33 games, catching 87 passes for 1,595 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also earned second-team All-Mountain West honors for a 44-catch, 878-yard, 12-touchdown campaign with Wyoming in 2021. What caught Kittle's eye early was the wide receiver's athleticism. 'I watched him, he was running a route and he got like 9 1/2 yards in two strides,' Kittle said. 'I was like, 'Holy [expletive].' It was insane. We watched it like 10 times in the tight end room. We were like 'How is he doing this?' ' At the NFL Scouting Combine, Neyor posted a 38-inch vertical and ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash, and that type of athleticism could be really helpful for an offense looking for someone to step up at wide receiver after they traded Deebo Samuel and with Brandon Aiyuk recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus. If Neyor can show out in training camp and preseason, he may carve out a spot on the roster and a role in the offense as a rookie. Bengals show more pre-draft interest in notable name
Bengals show more pre-draft interest in notable name The Cincinnati Bengals may be keeping tabs on a midwestern wide receiver in this draft class as they continue to add depth at the position and invest in their offense. Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Neyor mentioned the Bengals to Kay Adams as a team he has spoken with on a recent appearance on Up and Adams. Neyor spent time with three schools during his six collegiate years, playing with Wyoming, Texas and Nebraska. In 2024, he led the Cornhuskers with five receiving touchdowns. He also had a strong season in 2021 while at Wyoming, catching 12 touchdown passes and was Second-Team All-Mountain West. A torn ACL wiped out his 2022 season after he transferred to Texas and he played just one game in 2023 in Austin before entering the transfer portal. Neyor is likely set to be a backup and special-teams contributor. He has the size (6-4, 218) but needs to work on creating separation to be a more viable option in the league. If he lands with the Bengals, he'd get help from Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins to develop those skills.

Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor on pre-draft conversations: 'Tennessee Titans stick out to me'
Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor on pre-draft conversations: 'Tennessee Titans stick out to me' The Tennessee Titans' front office has talked about turning over every stone searching for a quarterback. The same thing can be said about the wide receiver position as well. After watching Nick Westbrook-Ikhine depart for the Miami Dolphins, the Titans are relatively thin at wide receiver beyond Calvin Ridley and could use multiple playmakers at the position. Recently, on the "Up & Adams Show," Kay Adams spoke to Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Neyor about his pre-draft journey. When asked which teams have stood out to him during the process, the Titans came up in the conversation. 'Just recently I spoke to the (San Francisco) 49ers, I spoke to the (Cincinnati) Bengals and the Titans, I think the Titans kind of stick out to me the most,' Neyor said. Neyor is an interesting height/weight/speed developmental prospect who could offer late-round value. At 6-foot-3, 222 pounds, he has had a winding path to this point, playing for Wyoming, Texas, and Nebraska. Hampered by injuries and transfers, he is unrefined and will need time to fully develop his route-running abilities. More productive early in his college career at Wyoming, he is a big target with 4.44 speed to challenge defenses vertically. However, his limited route tree and on-field inconsistencies caught up with him at Texas and Nebraska. But with the natural size and explosiveness you cannot teach, he could be worth a late-round flyer.
