Nebraska WR Isaiah Neyor on pre-draft conversations: 'Tennessee Titans stick out to me'
The Tennessee Titans' front office has talked about turning over every stone searching for a quarterback. The same thing can be said about the wide receiver position as well.
After watching Nick Westbrook-Ikhine depart for the Miami Dolphins, the Titans are relatively thin at wide receiver beyond Calvin Ridley and could use multiple playmakers at the position.
Recently, on the "Up & Adams Show," Kay Adams spoke to Nebraska wide receiver Isaiah Neyor about his pre-draft journey. When asked which teams have stood out to him during the process, the Titans came up in the conversation.
'Just recently I spoke to the (San Francisco) 49ers, I spoke to the (Cincinnati) Bengals and the Titans, I think the Titans kind of stick out to me the most,' Neyor said.
Neyor is an interesting height/weight/speed developmental prospect who could offer late-round value. At 6-foot-3, 222 pounds, he has had a winding path to this point, playing for Wyoming, Texas, and Nebraska. Hampered by injuries and transfers, he is unrefined and will need time to fully develop his route-running abilities.
More productive early in his college career at Wyoming, he is a big target with 4.44 speed to challenge defenses vertically. However, his limited route tree and on-field inconsistencies caught up with him at Texas and Nebraska. But with the natural size and explosiveness you cannot teach, he could be worth a late-round flyer.

Should the New York Jets trade for WR Treylon Burks?
Titans WR Treylon Burks out to "prove myself right" in comeback from torn ACLhttps:// The New York Jets are entering the 2025 season with massive question marks at wide receiver opposite Garrett Wilson. Offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand desperately needs someone to emerge as a secondary pass catcher. The early favorite to start in base personnel is veteran free-agent signing Josh Reynolds. Allen Lazard is also still hanging around in a post Aaron Rodgers world. Sophomore Malachi Corley is arguably entering a make-or-break year. Rookie Arian Smith could impact the offense with his deep speed, but expectations should be relatively low for a first-year wideout. New general manager Darren Mougey is rebuilding the roster. Though Mougey shouldn't get overly aggressive in the trade market, he could be open to team-friendly opportunities. One could arrive in the form of Treylon Burks, the former Tennessee Titans first-round bust who could reportedly be acquired for very little this offseason. The Titans appear prepared to move on from Burks. They signed two veterans in free agency (Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett) and acquired three rookie wideouts via the NFL draft (Elic Ayomanor, Xavier Restrepo, Chimere Dike). General manager Mike Borgonzi appears ready to give up on Burks, who he inherited from two regimes ago. Burks has shown occasional flashes of the talent that got him drafted in the first round, but recurring injuries have limited his upside. He's currently in the latter stages of recovery from a torn ACL injury, so any trade would have to wait until he can pass a medical later this offseason. Burks recorded 444 receiving yards as a rookie, but hasn't replicated that production since. The Titans predictably declined Burks' fifth-year contract option earlier this offseason. That means he's entering a contract year in 2025. Given the state of the Jets' receiver room, Mougey should consider rolling the dice on a first-round talent he can probably acquire for a late-round draft pick.

49ers superstar calls undrafted teammate 'a freak'
The San Francisco 49ers have had a lot of talent on their roster over the last few years, so for someone like George Kittle, who is among the best that San Francisco has had, to be impressed by a rookie, that says a lot. However, this year, Kittle has really enjoyed working with undrafted rookie wide receiver Isaiah Neyor throughout organized team activities and mandatory minicamp. Advertisement 'He's a good kid,' Kittle said on a recent appearance on 'Bussin' With The Boys' with former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton from Tight End University. 'I like him. He's a freak.' Neyor, 24, was a two-star recruit out of Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas before committing to Wyoming. After two years he transferred to Texas, and two years later, he transferred for one final season at Nebraska. In his collegiate career, which was severely impacted by injuries, Neyor appeared in 33 games, catching 87 passes for 1,595 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also earned second-team All-Mountain West honors for a 44-catch, 878-yard, 12-touchdown campaign with Wyoming in 2021. What caught Kittle's eye early was the wide receiver's athleticism. Advertisement 'I watched him, he was running a route and he got like 9 1/2 yards in two strides,' Kittle said. 'I was like, 'Holy [expletive].' It was insane. We watched it like 10 times in the tight end room. We were like 'How is he doing this?' ' At the NFL Scouting Combine, Neyor posted a 38-inch vertical and ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash, and that type of athleticism could be really helpful for an offense looking for someone to step up at wide receiver after they traded Deebo Samuel and with Brandon Aiyuk recovering from a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus. If Neyor can show out in training camp and preseason, he may carve out a spot on the roster and a role in the offense as a rookie. Titans Urged to Sign Top Defensive Free Agent
Titans Urged to Sign Top Defensive Free Agent originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tennessee Titans revamped their roster this offseason under new general manager Mike Borgonzi. After spending 16 years in various roles with the Kansas City Chiefs, Borgonzi knew changes were needed from last year's three-win team. Advertisement That started with releasing former Pro Bowl edge rusher Harold Landry III and grabbing big-time veteran free agents like offensive tackle Dan Moore Jr. and linebacker Cody Barton. Tennessee also added veteran wide receivers like Tyler Lockett and Van Jefferson to be a sure set of hands for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Free agent LB Kyzir White (7).Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images Borgonzi and head coach Brian Callahan are not done building this roster, however, as it takes time to overhaul a team that had a league-worst three wins in 2024. Titans reporter Easton Freeze noted that linebacker, in particular, is a position of concern. Advertisement ESPN's Aaron Schatz proposed a solution to this issue, as he wrote that the Titans should sign free agent linebacker Kyzir White. "The Titans don't really have a lot of inside linebackers on the roster that they can trust," Schatz wrote. "Tennessee signed Cody Barton away from Denver, but nobody else at the position played more than 10.5% of defensive snaps last season. A strong veteran to play up the middle would be a big help, and White is still out there." White is a seven-year NFL veteran who spent the last two seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He has also made stops with the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles during his career. After losing Kenneth Murray this offseason from an already-weak linebacker corps, White could be the perfect fix. He has 615 career tackles, including 34 for a loss, as well as 7.5 sacks, six interceptions, 23 passes defended and two forced fumbles. Advertisement At this point in the offseason, he should not command as much money, so if the new brass feels that he fits in defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson's scheme, then this could be a homerun signing.
