Americans are going to be hitting the road this weekend for Memorial Day, and we're tracking how much they are going to be paying for these gasoline prices. So we're looking at Triple A right now, that's at $300, $3.18 per gallon for gasoline. A week ago, it was about the same. A month ago, a little bit less. So we've seen a little bit of an uptake. But look, the trends are going down when it comes to gasoline. In fact, you've got GasBuddy that's saying that this Memorial Day weekend, you are going to be paying the lowest price for gasoline since 2021. So we have been seeing declining year-over-year gasoline prices, and you also are seeing that Americans are going to be traveling more this summer. You've got AAA that's saying that around 70% of Americans are going to be taking a summer vacations. They're going to be traveling, and part of this has to do with road trips. They are going to be taking more road trips. The green is the driving. So you can see middle income, high income, and low income. Couple arrested for Albuquerque hit-and-run crash that ‘critically injured' motorcyclist
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque arrested two people for a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a motorcyclist on Sunday. Police said the motorcyclist was hit by a maroon Chevrolet Avalanche in the area of Central Avenue and Girard Boulevard. New Mexico correctional officer caught by husband for bringing drugs to inmate, court docs show An off-duty police service aide saw the maroon Avalanche with blood on it and clothing stuck in the wheel well pull into an apartment complex at 5350 San Mateo Blvd. NE. Police said the PSA saw the driver, later identified as 27-year-old Anthony Nez fall out of the driver's seat and appeared to be intoxicated. The PSA also told APD he saw Blanco remove alcohol containers from the vehicle. Nez's girlfriend, later identified as 22-year-old Raquel Blanco, exited the passenger seat, and two young children, ages five and six, got out of the backseat. Officers officially linked the Chevy Avalanche to the hit-and-run, and the children were later found in an apartment by themselves with no supervision. Nez is charged with the following: DWI causing great bodily harm Abuse of a child (two counts) Leaving the scene of an accident involving injury Open container No registration No insurance Child passenger restraint violation Blanco is facing the following charges: Abuse of a child (two counts) Leaving the scene of an accident involving injury Tampering with evidence CYFD responded to find safe placement for the children, police said. MISSING: 15-year-old girl out of West Jordan
WEST JORDAN, Utah (ABC4) — An Endangered Missing Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old girl out of West Jordan, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. Kara Nez, 15, has been reported missing and endangered. She is described as Native American with bleached hair, last seen wearing a red pullover sweatshirt with goth or death metal band insignia, a zip-up hoodie with white skull web, and gray pants. She is reportedly with Luige Gaucin, 20. Gaucin is believed to be a danger to Nez, according to DPS. 'They are driving a 2024 black Nissan Altima with a temporary tag DC30164, West Jordan Case WJ25-18915.' If you have information regarding Nez's whereabouts, please contact police at 801-840-4000.
