Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams brands Surviving Dejon book 'unfair' and calls out 'untruths' as he reveals he is currently challenging it

Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams has branded a book written about him as 'unfair' and claimed it contains 'untruths '. The former semi-professional footballer, 26, came under fire in the villa for his treatment of now-girlfriend Megan Moore, with whom he failed to reach the final of the show earlier this month. Last week it was revealed that Dejon is the subject of a book - entitled Surviving Dejon - penned by Niah Sienna, who is said to be his brother's sister and no blood relation to the star. Announcing news of her Surviving Dejon book, Niah said: 'Dejon is a narcissist, he's manipulative. 'I've been telling everyone this for the past 10 years now but no one believed me.' Now, Dejon has revealed he is 'in the process of challenging' the book as he claimed it contains 'a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories'. Appearing on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie with Meg on Thursday, Dejon said: 'There's a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories which I am challenging at the moment. 'The most important thing is that Meg knows who I am, my family know who I am, and my friends know who I am.' Surprisingly, Dejon went on to thank Andrada Pop and Billykiss Azeez - both of which he had run-ins with on the show - for defending him. He said: 'Even shoutout to Andrada and Billykiss because when we saw them when was coming out of the villa they were basically saying "Dejon there's so much things being said about you. We know that's not you. We know that's not who you are as a person". 'So yeah shoutout to them two because they didn't need to do that.' Earlier this week Dejon broke his silence amid news of the release of a book detailing his alleged 'gaslighting and abuse'. Following the announcement, Dejon took to Instagram to share a trio of images alongside a caption defending himself against the allegations. In his caption, Dejon penned: 'I've stayed quiet, but that doesn't mean it hasn't affected me. Now, Dejon has revealed he is 'in the process of challenging' the book as he claimed it contains 'a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories' 'I hold my self accountable for my communication and everyday I'm growing as a person, so thank you for those who see the good in me... 'I'm not just a character on an entertainment reality tv show I'm also a human being with real emotions. 'Some of the stuff I've seen said about me has been hard to deal with and they are the furthest thing from the truth... 'I questioned why people would do these things and it was getting me nowhere as I couldn't understand and is something I would never do to somebody else but what's kept me grounded is movement... 'Running, training, pushing myself when everything in my head feels heavy. It clears my mind, helps me breathe, reminds me of who I am outside of the noise. 'If you're struggling mentally, I get it. I really do. You don't have to have it all figured out just find that one thing that brings you back to yourself and take it one step at a time.' In announcing news of her book, Niah said: 'Dejon is a narcissist, he's manipulative. I've been telling everyone this for the past 10 years now but no one believed me' The Daily Mail contacted Dejon for comment at the time. Last week, Dejon defiantly hit back at 'narcissist' claims, insisting he is an 'empathetic person' after his character was questioned on the ITV 2 show. He revealed the extent of the backlash he has endured online after his fellow co-stars voted to dump him and Megan, 25, from the villa days before last week's final. TikTok and even death threats, causing him to turn off the comments on his profile.

Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams breaks his silence over 'exposé' book - as he admits to 'questioning why people would do these things'

Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams has broken his silence amid news of the release of a book detailing his alleged 'gaslighting and abuse'. The former semi-professional footballer and personal trainer, 26, came under fire in the villa for his treatment of now-girlfriend Megan Moore, with whom he failed to reach the final of the show earlier this month. Dejon is the subject of a book - entitled Surviving Dejon - penned by Niah Sienna, who is said to be his brother's sister and no blood relation to the star. Dejon told the Daily Mail in his first interview that he has received thousands of frightening, hateful, and racist messages across Instagram and TikTok and even death threats, causing him to turn off the comments on his profile. Viewers turned on the personal trainer over their belief he had a game plan to win the £50,000 prize with Megan, who he remained in a couple throughout the series, despite continually flirting with bombshell arrivals. He even accused Megan of attempting to make him 'look bad' in front of the cameras, which filmed the Islanders around the clock, and asked for them to 'sit in silence' during another row, throwing into doubt whether his feelings were genuine. But Dejon insists his relationship with Megan is the real deal and he was prepared to quit the show after feeling 'lost' and 'confused' by the feedback from new and returning Islanders who had watched how their romance had been poorly portrayed.
