Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams brands Surviving Dejon book 'unfair' and calls out 'untruths' as he reveals he is currently challenging it

Daily Mail4 hours ago
Love Island's Dejon Noel-Williams has branded a book written about him as 'unfair' and claimed it contains 'untruths '.
The former semi-professional footballer, 26, came under fire in the villa for his treatment of now-girlfriend Megan Moore, with whom he failed to reach the final of the show earlier this month.
Last week it was revealed that Dejon is the subject of a book - entitled Surviving Dejon - penned by Niah Sienna, who is said to be his brother's sister and no blood relation to the star.
Announcing news of her Surviving Dejon book, Niah said: 'Dejon is a narcissist, he's manipulative.
'I've been telling everyone this for the past 10 years now but no one believed me.'
Now, Dejon has revealed he is 'in the process of challenging' the book as he claimed it contains 'a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories'.
Appearing on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie with Meg on Thursday, Dejon said: 'There's a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories which I am challenging at the moment.
'The most important thing is that Meg knows who I am, my family know who I am, and my friends know who I am.'
Surprisingly, Dejon went on to thank Andrada Pop and Billykiss Azeez - both of which he had run-ins with on the show - for defending him.
He said: 'Even shoutout to Andrada and Billykiss because when we saw them when was coming out of the villa they were basically saying "Dejon there's so much things being said about you. We know that's not you. We know that's not who you are as a person".
'So yeah shoutout to them two because they didn't need to do that.'
Earlier this week Dejon broke his silence amid news of the release of a book detailing his alleged 'gaslighting and abuse'.
Following the announcement, Dejon took to Instagram to share a trio of images alongside a caption defending himself against the allegations.
In his caption, Dejon penned: 'I've stayed quiet, but that doesn't mean it hasn't affected me.
Now, Dejon has revealed he is 'in the process of challenging' the book as he claimed it contains 'a lot of untruths and a lot of unfair stories'
'I hold my self accountable for my communication and everyday I'm growing as a person, so thank you for those who see the good in me...
'I'm not just a character on an entertainment reality tv show I'm also a human being with real emotions.
'Some of the stuff I've seen said about me has been hard to deal with and they are the furthest thing from the truth...
'I questioned why people would do these things and it was getting me nowhere as I couldn't understand and is something I would never do to somebody else but what's kept me grounded is movement...
'Running, training, pushing myself when everything in my head feels heavy. It clears my mind, helps me breathe, reminds me of who I am outside of the noise.
'If you're struggling mentally, I get it. I really do. You don't have to have it all figured out just find that one thing that brings you back to yourself and take it one step at a time.'
In announcing news of her book, Niah said: 'Dejon is a narcissist, he's manipulative. I've been telling everyone this for the past 10 years now but no one believed me'
The Daily Mail contacted Dejon for comment at the time.
Last week, Dejon defiantly hit back at 'narcissist' claims, insisting he is an 'empathetic person' after his character was questioned on the ITV 2 show.
He revealed the extent of the backlash he has endured online after his fellow co-stars voted to dump him and Megan, 25, from the villa days before last week's final.
TikTok and even death threats, causing him to turn off the comments on his profile.

Billionaire owner of Willie Mullins' ‘very classy' new £300,000 horse confirmed and Cheltenham Festival target decided

THE billionaire owner of Willie Mullins' 'very classy' new £300,000 horse has been confirmed. And her Cheltenham Festival target has already been decided. 1 The latest Horse Racing Ireland update showed Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary's Gigginstown House Stud as the owner of Poetisa. Mullins and right-hand man Harold Kirk saw off Nicky Henderson to land the Cheltenham winner at the Goffs sales in May. Formerly trained by Toby Bulgin, Poetisa won a mares' bumper at the home of jumps in April. Sent off 20-1 under former champion jockey Brian Hughes, she stayed on well up the hill after meeting trouble to win by a neck. Poetisa commanded a price tag of £42,000 as a three-year-old but her value soared after the Cheltenham victory. And Mullins clearly liked what he saw, with her pedigree suggesting big things lie in store in the future. Poetisa is from the same family as multiple Grade 1-winning superstar Macs Joy. The Jessica Harrington-trained hurdler won over half a million quid from 31 career races, which included nine victories. And O'Leary will be hoping for something similar from his newly-acquired mare. Gigginstown House were also listed as the new owners of French import Mino Des Mottes, who it is thought is also in training with Mullins. But it's Poetisa who Kirk has big hopes for. And he had already decided her target for the Festival when splashing the cash a few months ago. The bloodstock expert said: "She's a Cheltenham winner already and she'll only improve. "She was very classy when she won. She's a lovely mare and hopefully she'll go down the mares' route over hurdles as there's a big programme for these mares now." Poetisa can be backed at 10-1 for the Mares Novices' Hurdle, with Mullins' Champion Bumper winner Bambino Fever the 3-1 favourite. . Remember to gamble responsibly

Netflix has Harry & Meghan over a barrel – it's talk about royals & divorce or get NOTHING, claims expert

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have extended their Netflix deal - but bosses are hoping they will have some 'juicy royal tea to spill', according to experts. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have signed a new "multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects" with Netflix, the couple has announced. 5 5 However, speaking on this week's The Sun's Royal Exclusive show, broadcaster and journalist Esther Craichu said the Sussexes' deal is simply a 'retainer'. She claimed: 'It's a retainer in case they [Meghan and Harry] decide to accidentally do something entertaining again. 'That's basically it. So there's no commitment. 'They've put no money behind this. It's basically the right to first refusal. 'So if they come up with something that doesn't have to do with their whole kind of sermonising about how to save the world, then Netflix might be like, yes. 'I mean, to be brutally honest, what they've done is they've said, 'unless you have some juicy tea to spill on the royal family, or you get divorced and want to give us a documentary, probably not.' 'But if they have something juicy to say about the royal family, like the king sent me a potted plant, which turned out to be poison ivy, or that 'H my fox' just didn't hold me the way I wanted to, and so we've had to consciously uncouple, then maybe. 'That's basically it.' Esther claimed that the deal is the 'best of both worlds' and claims Netflix has been "clever in that sense.' She added: 'These people [the Sussexes] are a household name. They're annoying, but they're a household name. Harry & Meghan were 'not in a strong position' & signed Netflix deal for 'much less'… TV giant 'did it for publicity' 'If they do anything interesting, we have to be first in the queue, because it would be a blockbuster. 'Everyone would be covering it. It'd be a huge media storm. But at the moment, given their track record, absolutely not. 'We're not committing five quid to this.' Five years ago, Harry and Meghan secured a lucrative contract, thought to be worth more than 100 million dollars (£74million), with Netflix after quitting as senior working royals in 2020. It is not yet known how much the new extended deal will bring in for the couple, or how long it will last. 5 IDEAL OUTCOME? royal reporter Bronte Coyne said the new deal is the 'ideal outcome for both parties.' She explained: 'We've talked about what was going to be next for Harry and Meghan in their Netflix business arm for a long time now, because we knew that this five-year deal was going to expire this year. 'What was going to be the ideal outcome? 'OK, they're not going to sign a deal anything like the one that was signed in 2020, because they don't really exist anymore. 'The landscape has changed completely for TV, but streaming services in particular. If they [Meghan and Harry] do anything interesting, we [Netflix] have to be first in the queue, because it would be a blockbuster Esther Craichu journalist 'So it did seem likely that there would either be a downgraded deal or an expiration of the deal. 'Now, the fact that both parties can say we've reached a new agreement, it was never going to be what it was before, but it is a new agreement. 'I think that an argument could be made on either side that it's a PR win, because the deal wasn't cancelled, as had been speculated for some time. 'It's a first-look deal.' NEW RELEASES 5 Announcing the deal, Meghan said in a statement: 'We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand. "My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.' On top of Season 2 of With Love, Meghan - which will drop later this month - they will also do a "Holiday Celebration" Christmas special this December. "Join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration," the announcement reads. "Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It's a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy." There will also be a short film called "Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within". It was previously thought that the Sussexes' £74million deal with the streamer was not going to be renewed. Harry's Polo series, about the sport, was watched by just 500,000 people. It was also understood that bosses were mildly infuriated by Meghan making her As Ever brand a priority. 5 Lifestyle and cookery show With Love, Meghan only ranked at number 383 in Netflix's six-monthly engagement report this year, with just 5.3million viewers across the globe. It was beaten by reruns of the first four seasons of legal drama Suits, which also starred the Duchess in her pre-royal days. Meghan was filmed for her show making ladybird-shaped canapes from cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls. The show is a smash hit compared to her husband's docuseries Polo. In the first six months of the year the programme attracted 500,000 views globally, ranking it at number 3,442 out of around 7,000 shows. THE Duchess of Sussex has kept busy since stepping down as a senior working royal in 2020 and relocating to California. Here are some of her business ventures... Coronation Street's Beverley Callard, 68, showcases her huge leg tattoo in skimpy denim shorts after adding to the 'growing' inking

Coronation Street star Beverley Callard showcased her giant leg tattoo as she uploaded a clip to Instagram on Thursday. The soap actress, 68, who starred as Liz McDonald on the ITV soap, was seen standing in her kitchen wearing a pair of skimpy denim shorts. But as her husband, Jon McEwan - who she has been marry to since 2010- walked towards her, fans were able to catch a glimpse of her extended inking. She has added a sixth magnolia to the 'growing' bloom of flowers which creeps up her lower leg. The design features purple, blue and red flowers with pretty petals winding their way up her calf from her foot. It's not the first tattoo for the soap star, with Beverley previously revealing she got her first inking at 59. The actress had comedy and tragedy masks inked over a music score along with a red love heart in tribute to her husband Jon. The couple's names are written in the love heart along with 30-10-10, their wedding anniversary. Before tying the knot with Jon, Beverley was married to Steve Callard from 1989 until 2001, David Sowden from 1980 until 1988 and Paul Atkinson for three years from 1974 until 1977. Beverley has previously revealed that she's planning to go under the knife because she's 'scared of not getting any work'. Talking about her plans to have a facelift, Beverley told The Sun: 'I am going to do it, yes. It's difficult because our industry is so sexist and ageist, still.' She continued to reflect on how many films have husbands who are much older than their wives, saying the wives are usually 'stick insects… and their faces don't move'. 'I'm just going to join that because I'm scared of not getting work,' she added. The actress is thought to be intending to have the work done at London's Harley Street Skin Clinic. Despite being quite determined to have the surgery, her husband Jon and children Rebecca, 46, and Joshua, 32, are not said to be very keen. Beverley brushed off their concerns, saying she 'hates mirrors' and hasn't got much confidence about her appearance, preferring to play a role than appear as herself. She also detailed Jon's response to her facelift plans while on Melanie Blake's Girl Talk podcast in March, saying: 'Jon really doesn't want me to have it done. 'But I'm going to do it and I am doing it for me.'
