Chocolate Yowies at epicentre of Keybridge-Bolton battle

Confectionary company Yowie has become the unlikely epicentre of a high-stakes feud between investor Nick Bolton and his former activist vehicle Keybridge Capital, which kicked him out and has now complained to the Takeovers Panel over Yowie's plans to issue $500,000 in new shares. Bolton is the chief executive of the $3 million ASX-listed company, whose colourful eponymous chocolates once lined supermarket checkout shelves. On Monday, it said it would issue 34.4 million new shares, in what Bolton's detractors labelled a thinly veiled measure to retain control of the company.

Nick Bolton explains his decision to re-sign with Chiefs: 'It just made the most sense'

Nick Bolton explains his decision to re-sign with Chiefs: 'It just made the most sense' By re-signing star linebacker Nick Bolton earlier this month, the Kansas City Chiefs ensured that the middle of their defense won't regress next season. In comments to the media this week, Bolton explained that a reunion with the Chiefs was his best option as a free agent, and that the opportunity he has been given in Kansas City was too promising to pass up. 'Just talking with my family and my agent, it just made the most sense," Bolton said of his decision to sign with the Chiefs. "Again, I kind of mentioned a little bit of the points earlier, just had familiarity, having the scheme, having players around me that I'm comfortable with and just people that believe in you. I think that's kind of one of the big things for me. "They gave me a chance coming out of college and then after that, kind of let me go into myself and be the leader that I wanted to be. So, I just kind of felt like that was the best decision for me and my family. Obviously, they had a great football team, a great chance to win, all of those things played a part and is the reason why I'm here.' Fans can expect to see Bolton play a major role in Steve Spagnuolo's defense next season as the Chiefs attempt to earn their fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

Star LB Nick Bolton sends message to Chiefs fans after re-signing with Kansas City

Star LB Nick Bolton sends message to Chiefs fans after re-signing with Kansas City Veteran linebacker Nick Bolton was one of the most important players on the Kansas City Chiefs' defense in the team's run to Super Bowl LIX last season, and he earned a massive payday this week due to his outstanding performance. A former University of Missouri standout, Bolton's star rose quickly after the Chiefs selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. Now a two-time Super Bowl champion, Bolton was expected to have many suitors as a free agent but ultimately decided to stay in Kansas City on a three-year, $45,000,000 contract that includes $30,000,000 in guarantees. On Friday, March 14, Bolton officially signed his new contract with the Chiefs and sent a message to fans in a video that was posted to the team's official Twitter account: With expectations at an all-time high heading into the 2025 season, Bolton and the rest of Kansas City's defenders will need to redouble their efforts in the offseason to help Kansas City earn its fourth consecutive Super Bowl appearance.

Nick Bolton signing: How much money will Chiefs LB make on his new contract?

Nick Bolton signing: How much money will Chiefs LB make on his new contract? The Kansas City Chiefs re-signed veteran linebacker Nick Bolton to a three-year contract worth $45,000,000 on Sunday, March 9. Bolton's new deal includes $30,000,000 guaranteed at signing and will keep him in Western Missouri for the foreseeable future as the Chiefs look to get back to the Super Bowl in the coming years. A former University of Missouri standout, Bolton has cemented his place as a fan-favorite in Kansas City since joining the Chiefs as a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft. During his time in Kansas City, Bolton won two Super Bowl rings, and after signing his new contract on Sunday, the former Tiger figures will be a key part of the Chiefs' defensive game plan moving forward. Given his experience in the playoffs and Super Bowl, Bolton would have been one of the best players to hit the market in free agency later this month had he not re-signed with Kansas City.
