The Block's 2026 location accidentally revealed after $11 million deal
The Block's next location has been revealed after show regulars accidentally exposed the location of the $11m development site. The 2026 season appears to be taking place in the Mornington Peninsula, according to
The location is at 109 Old Mornington Rd, Mt Eliza, to be exact. The show's preferred architects, Nine in Six (who have worked on the show for 10 seasons), were seen in the area having coffee in branded shirts. After the sale, it seems like all signs are pointing to it as The Block's new location. This year's season is currently taking place in Daylesford.
The $11m property was sold by former racing driver and Porsche enthusiast Rusty French, who purchased the site for $2.8m in 2007 and has been trying to sell it since 2016.
His more recent sales campaign included a subdivision of 10 blocks of land, with development plans that would have homes built with features like swimming pools and luxury finishes to complement the water views. It's unknown, however, if the show will change those designs before they shoot.
Six of the ten blocks have been marked as sold, while four are still up for sale, however, it's believed that The Block might have leased the remaining four sites for the duration of filming, which would allow for extra space for production.
