Miley Cyrus to celebrate 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana with special 2026 event

Miley Cyrus has announced plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her hit Disney Channel series Hannah Montana with a special event scheduled for March 2026. The celebration will honor the show's cultural legacy and its role in launching Cyrus's career as a global pop icon. Premiering in 2006, Hannah Montana followed teenager Miley Stewart as she lived a double life as international pop star Hannah Montana. The series ran until 2011 and starred Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, and Billy Ray Cyrus. Known for its mix of comedy, music, and teen drama, the show produced chart-topping albums, a blockbuster film, and a sold-out tour. Cyrus confirmed the event in a July 22, 2025 SiriusXM interview, saying, 'Without Hannah, there really wouldn't be this kind of… this me.' She hinted at live performances, re-recorded songs, exclusive merch, and fan activities like meet-and-greets. Online interest surged, with searches for 'Hannah Montana anniversary' up 4,900% following the announcement. Fans are calling for a reunion concert with hits like 'Best of Both Worlds' and 'Nobody's Perfect.' While Disney has not confirmed involvement, the timing coincides with the 2026 launch of the unified Disney+ and Hulu app, sparking speculation the platform may spotlight Hannah Montana content. Now 32, Cyrus credits the role with shaping her identity, and the anniversary event promises to reconnect fans with the show's enduring legacy.

Jessie J Reveals 'Insane' Blood Loss From Breast Cancer Surgery In Emotional Health Update

continues to carry fans along every step of the way of her breast cancer journey. The British singer, who revealed her cancer diagnosis earlier this month, left the spotlight to undergo surgery. Now, she is being honest with fans about the downsides of the procedure. In an Instagram post, Jessie gave fans an update following a successful surgery. She revealed that it came 48 hours after she went under the knife. "[red exclamation point emoji] Blood warning [red exclamation point emoji] This post is some of the honest lows and highs of the last 48 hours," the singer began in the caption. "I will always show the good and hard bits of any journey I go through." True to her words, Jessie posted 16 slides that detailed every phase of her surgery. The upload began with an image of the singer, fresh-faced from surgery, lying on the hospital bed. Her right breast was evidently plastered up. Included in the carousel was a snap of the surgeon's markings on the "Price Tag" singer's chest area as well as a video of her singing before heading to the theater. "I've now been at the hospital for six and a half hours and I'm still waiting to go down to the theatre," she belted. Luckily, Jessie wasn't alone for the challenging procedure. Her partner, Chanan Colman, was pictured in the hospital with her. In one emotional clip, the couple passionately kissed while holding hands as they fought back tears. The following slide showed the "Nobody's Perfect" singer crying out for her son, Sky, following the procedure. "I was imagining Sky saying 'I love you, mommy,' and I was saying 'I love you back,'" Jessie told her baby daddy, who was filming. The two-year-old's reunion with his famous mother was detailed in the tear-jerking Instagram post. A cute photo captured the toddler laughing next to his mother on the hospital bed. Sky wasted no time causing trouble as he was caught playing with his mother's medical equipment before she cautioned him. The update not only detailed the emotional parts of the surgery but also the real medical side. In one video, Jessie explained to fans that a drip was inserted into her breast. She then turned the camera to show a container filled with a small amount of blood, which she jokingly referred to as a "goji berry smoothie." In a later update, the container was already halfway filled with blood as Jessie lamented, "Look at that. That is insane. Oh my God." The 37-year-old also kept it raw with her toddler, as she explained to him how the container receives bodily fluid from her breast. Alongside the heartfelt post, Jessie expressed deep gratitude for the medical team that took care of her and her loved ones who visited. She then informed fans of her current health status, writing: "I am home now, to rest and wait for my results [fingers crossed emoji]. Chanan is in a nurse outfit. No no, he isn't, but funny to imagine." Concluding the caption, she encouraged those facing similar struggles. "Still hugging everyone going through something tough right now. We all got this," she wrote. Fans soon bombarded the post with encouraging words for their beloved singer as she recovers. "Ah Jess posts. I know Sky will be keeping you smiling and giving you strength... big love... you're an absolute warrior. x," one fan wrote. The positive health update from Jessie comes days after she performed at the Capital's Summertime Ball. It was her last performance before going away for surgery. While on stage, the British singer spoke about how special the concert felt to her. "Today, this show, is my last show before I go and beat breast cancer. So, it's so special to me. You have no idea," she emotionally revealed. The "Nobody's Perfect" artist publicly appreciated her partner, son, and family before expressing hope for her cancer battle. "We are so lucky. We have so much to live for. So much joy; so many things to do," she declared.

Jessie J Sends Warning To Fans Ahead Of Meeting Her Amid Cancer Battle

Jessie J takes dedication to her fans to a whole new level! The singer has given her fans a heads-up on her likely demeanor should they bump into her in any public space following her surgery amid her breast cancer diagnosis. Jessie J was diagnosed with breast cancer in April but disclosed it to her fans in June and has stayed completely transparent about the whole process of her treatment, surgery, and ongoing recovery. The "Nobody's Perfect" singer showed up on Instagram bearing reports about the current state of her health 12 days after her mastectomy. Jessie admitted that she misses being a mom to her son, who is currently on a mini vacation with his grandparents. She acknowledged that she still feels pain from the procedure, but she is gradually getting her life back via exercises and living a healthy lifestyle. She has also pulled the brakes on the pain medications to avoid overdoing this. The singer followed up with another post, issuing a note of warning to her fans that, should they encounter her in public, things may seem out of place due to her current situation. According to The Daily Mail, Jessie J added: "It's not personal. I don't have what l usually have to give energy-wise, understandably. I will get there. It's a slow road. For now, I am taking it easy. Enjoying the slow vibes and staying positive." Jessie's life update last week got her in a bit of a tight spot when fans misconstrued her statement for a recovery announcement. As reported by The Blast, the singer responded to the circulating reports, clarifying that her cancer was not all gone. Instead, Jessie emphasized that she only implied a positive ending to her story with cancer with the tone of her post. She stated that no official report had been provided regarding her surgery. Jessie took responsibility for sending mixed messages with her post, writing: "I added the [fingers-crossed emoji] in thinking people would understand, and clearly a lot didn't. A weird situation. My fault for not being clearer." The singer explained that she just got out of surgery a few nights before the time of her post, and treating cancer is no child's play. Most importantly, the star informed fans that getting a clear verdict on the state of her health post-surgery would not happen after a few days. The former singing show coach's journey in the weeks leading up to her surgery was not a walk in the park. She had to cross many hurdles to help her prepare physically and mentally for the process. Jessie was drained from processing all her concerns about her health alongside raising her children and balancing her life and career. The burden of her hectic schedule and daunting reality left her with panic, tears, and fiery rage, which left her in a terrible mood. Jessie eventually found a genius way to soothe her hiccups, and corn cobs provided the succor. The singer revealed that she discovered it was nearly impossible to "panic or cry while eating one." Jessie described the experience as an instant mood shift and recommended it to her fans. On June 15, Jessie gave her final performance before going into the theatre for a life-saving surgery. The singer sang her out at the Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium. PEOPLE reported that she shared how special the moment feels to her, noting that she is grateful for her life, her career, her son, and her wonderful parents. Jessie declared, "My family, my band, my crew. We are so lucky, we have so much to live for, so much joy, so much, so many things to do." She then walked her fans through her post-show ritual on her Instagram Story, which involves going to dinner with friends, settling in for a cool shower indoors, and applying a thick layer of skincare to her face. "Now I'm sitting in Skys' room just staring at him. Having a needed a well earned cry. Happy and scared tears. This boy. My whole heart. What a special day today was," Jessie added. On June 3, the star opened up to her 14 million followers about the latest update on her health. Jessie admitted to being an open book with everyone around her, which explains why she chose to come clean to her fans about the illness. "Before 'No Secrets' came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer," Jessie began. She explained to her fans that she has been in and out of the hospital for several tests to know every detail about her illness. She concluded her post, informing her fans that she would be going in for surgery to tackle the cancer since it is still in its early stage and to forestall further spread. Rooting for Jessie J to beat this cancer once and for all!

There's a new pop culture bar in Hell's Kitchen covered wall-to-wall in '90s movie and TV show posters

In New York, nostalgia has become a currency of sorts: locals love to bemoan the past (sure, while embracing the present) when it comes to modes of transportation and the lost art of hanging out at a video rental store. Dara Rock, the owner of Nobody's Perfect, a new bar in Hell's Kitchen, has taken the trend and turned it into yet another business: her drinking hole is an ode to pop culture's past, with over 500 pieces of imagery covering the walls across both floors, plus one hundred vintage toys, gadgets and 'oddball treasures on display,' as she tells Time Out New York. 'We've even got a mural made up of 200 VHS movie covers,' she says. Meant to be a playful, laid-back destination, the vibe definitely calls to mind the kinds of bars that used to pepper NYC in the late '90s and early 2000s: old episodes of Seinfeld, Sex and the City and other legendary TV shows play in the background—the perfect backdrop to the flavored shots (anyone care for a Cinnamon Toast Crunch or a peanut butter whiskey, perhaps?) on offer. Also on the bar menu is an adult (liquorized) version of a Capri Sun served in a plastic pouch and an espresso martini presented in one of those classic NYC coffee cups. Clearly, Rock has gone all in when it comes to nostalgia. At the moment, only the bar is operational, but Rock mentions plans to eventually open a kitchen—hopefully in just a few months. 'The goal is to reinvest and get a small, fun menu up and running down the line,' she reveals. But there's more than whimsical drinks and iconic pop culture ephemera plastered all over: the second floor has been turned into a party-slash-game room featuring two dart boards, foosball tables, and over fifty board and card games. We told you: the '90s all over again. Rock clearly knows what she's doing—this is actually her third bar in NYC. She also owns Somebody's Darling and Biddy's Pub on the Upper East Side, each one an ode to all things nostalgic as well. As for the name of her latest project, she explains it's a 'cheeky little reminder that imperfections are what make us interesting.' Except, paradoxically, if it's an authentic deep dive into the past that you're looking for, Nobody's Perfect is sort of… perfect?
