Drake And His Fans Have A 'F**k Kendrick' Moment At Wireless Festival

Drake took the stage on Saturday (July 12), for night two of the 2025 Wireless Festival in London, where fans at Finsbury Park made their allegiance loud and clear. Mid-performance, the crowd broke out into a chant of 'f**k Kendrick,' and instead of ignoring it, Drake embraced the moment. Turning to his longtime friend and security lead Chubbs, he responded, 'Grab me a shot. I'll drink to that.' The moment came shortly after Drake challenged the audience to 'name another artist' who could match his performance level — doubling down on his position in the ongoing rap battle between himself and K. Dot. Kendrick wasn't the only one to catch shade during Drake's set. The Toronto native also appeared to send a subtle message to NBA legend LeBron James by switching up the lyrics to his 2018 hit 'Nonstop.' Instead of the original line: 'How I go from 6 to 23 like I'm LeBron?' he rapped, 'How I go from 6 to 23, but not LeBron,' hinting at tension in their once-close friendship. The lyrical switch-up follows speculation sparked by Drake recently covering up his LeBron tattoo and replacing it with new ink honoring NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. After delivering an R&B-focused set on Friday (July 11), Drizzy shifted gears on Saturday with a London-themed performance that celebrated the U.K.'s rap scene. He brought out British rap heavyweights Skepta, Central Cee, and Dave, and made a bold declaration about London's place in Hip-Hop. 'Nobody can out-rap London — nobody,' he declared to the crowd. 'No disrespect to America. No disrespect to my country. But nobody can out-rap London rappers. This is the best. This is the highest level. This is what I aspire to be.' Drake headlined all three nights of this year's Wireless Festival July 11-13, which celebrated its 20th anniversary. Drake's friend stabbed in mob attack hours after seeing star's Wireless gig

Hassan Ali was stabbed hours after attending his friend Drake's North London gig at Wireless Festival this weekend when he was mobbed by a gang of men while in his car. The rapper, who goes by the stage name of Top5, was in a white Mercedes when he was surrounded by a gang, and the vehicle was smashed in before he was stabbed in the leg. A Met Police said officers were called at around 12.15am on Monday morning with a report of a stabbing, as a spokesman said: 'The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg. He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. 'Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.' Distressing footage shoes a group of roughly a dozen men climbing onto the vehicle and stamping on the windscreen. Footage then shows a number of men opening the door and kicking the driver while trying to drag him away. Earlier in the evening, Top5 posted social media videos of him watching Drake's performance from the VIP section of the Finsbury Park festival. The rapper is thought to have caused tensions by telling fans on social media: 'There is no real killers in London.' The Met Police have urged anyone with information to call 101 or reach out on X and quote CAD105/17JULY. Last year Ali was cleared of a murder charge in his native Toronto, after which he took to social media to thank his lawyer. His only other two social media posts on Instagram show him meeting controversial rapper Kanye West on his birthday, and another tile largely of him and Drake, which he captioned: 'The President & The Boy.' Meanwhile during his three-night headline run at Wireless, Drake, 38, said London MCs were the 'best lyricists in the world'. 'No disrespect to America, but nobody in the world can out-rap London rappers,' he said, adding: 'This is the highest level – this is what I aspire to be.' It marked Drake's return to full-scale UK shows and the second of three back-to-back headline sets – a Wireless first – after he signed a multimillion-pound deal to top the bill each night of the festival. Drake's set featured tracks from across his career – including Nonstop, Know Yourself, and God's Plan. His run at the north London festival forms part of his ongoing 2025 tour. Got a story? Drake Brings His Saltiness Across The Pond, Takes Shots At LeBron James & Claims The Best Lyricists In The World Are From The UK

Source: Simone Joyner / Getty / Drake Kendrick Lamar and LeBron James have really hurt this man's feelings. Drake is still salty following his battle with the West Coast rapper, and his 'friends' ultimately abandoning him, and he let fans during his headlining Wireless Festival act know all about it. The 6 God isn't done taking jabs at his perceived enemies, taking shots at them during his three nights headlining the Wireless Festival in the UK. The Hate For Kendrick Lamar Is Everlasting During his performance on night two of the festival, Drake told the crowd to 'name another artist' who can 'clash' with him, leading to a 'f*** Kendrick' chant breaking out. Drake was all for it, responding to the moment, 'You know what, Chubbs… Grab me a shot. I'll drink to that.' The pettiness didn't end there. The 'Started From The Bottom' rapper then shifted his attention to LeBron James, changing the lyrics in his song 'Nonstop' rapping, 'How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron.' The jab at James comes after fans noticed that Drake covered up his tattoo of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar when he was a young hooper at Fighting Irish St. Vincent St. Mary jersey with a Shai Gilgeous-Alexander tat with number two Thunder jersey above it. SGA, a Toronto native, is coming off an exceptional year, winning the league MVP award and leading his Oklahoma City Thunder to their first NBA championship, where he also earned NBA Finals MVP. Oh, and he was just recently announced as the cover athlete for NBA 2K26 , and now he can add the honor of living on Drake's arm forever, unless he decides to hop on stage with one of Drizzy's enemies or use a Kendrick Lamar song in an IG Story post. Drake's pettiness didn't stop there. Drake Claims UK Rappers Are Superior Lyricists The Canadian Hip-Hop star took a moment out of his set to address the UK vs US rappers debate created by Skepta, declaring that rappers from across the pond have better bars than their American counterparts. 'The best lyricists in the world — mark my words — I don't care what nobody says,' Drake said, using the moment as a segue to bring out Skepta as one of his many surprise guests. 'Nobody can out rap London — nobody. No disrespect to America. No disrespect to my country. But, nobody can out rap London rappers. This is the best, this is the highest level. This is what I aspire to be.' Okay, Drake, whatever you say. Drake's comments come after Skepta took aim at Joyner Lucas in his diss track 'Friendly Fire.' Lucas was one of the first artists stateside to accept Skepta's challenge. Folks on X, formerly Twitter, have been reacting to Drake's continued elevated saltiness; you can see those reactions in the gallery below. Drake Switches Up ‘Nonstop' Lyrics to Take a Jab at LeBron James

The deterioration of Drake and LeBron James' friendship appears to be part of the fallout from the Drizzy and Kendrick Lamar feud. Drake hit the stage for night two in Perth of his Anita Max Wynn Tour on Wednesday (Feb. 5), and in fan-captured video, flipped around some lyrics to 'Nonstop' during the show to slight King James. The original featured on 2018's Scorpion had Drake rhyme, 'How I go from 6 to 23 like I'm LeBron?' Even James' former teammate and current ESPN broadcaster Richard Jefferson had some fun with Drake's tweak on X, sharing a gif in response. Drizzy previously called out those who switched sides on him during the Kendrick Lamar battle at the top of 2025 on his 'Fighting Irish' freestyle, which was uploaded to Conductor Williams' YouTube page and quickly taken down. 'The world fell in love with the gimmicks, even my brothers got tickets, seemed like they loved every minute/ Just know the s–t is personal to us and wasn't just business/ Analyzing behavioral patterns is somewhat suspicious,' he raps on the track. James was among those in attendance at Kendrick Lamar's Pop Out concert on Juneteenth in L.A. last year, rapping along to Drake diss tracks such as 'Euphoria' and 'Not Like Us.' The Fighting Irish also happen to be the mascot for James' St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, which he attended in Ohio during the early 2000s. LeBron has yet to address any of the speculation surrounding his relationship with Drake and whether that's changed in the recent months since the Kendrick Lamar feud.
