Steelers rookie DT Derrick Harmon spotted shadowing Cam Heyward at OTAs
Steelers rookie DT Derrick Harmon spotted shadowing Cam Heyward at OTAs Derrick Harmon is trying to follow in Cam Heyward's footsteps — literally — as the rookie defensive tackle shadowed the veteran Steeler throughout OTAs. PennLive's Nick Farabaugh reported that the mentorship was similar to how T.J. Watt took Nick Herbig under his wing — wherever Heyward went, Harmon followed. For the Steelers rookie, it's simple: he just wants to learn from as many veteran minds as possible. "I told them I'm asking questions," Harmon told reporters on Thursday. "That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to learn." The Steelers rookie has an ingenious recipe for success — leaning on Heyward's 14 NFL seasons as an invaluable resource. Harmon recently appeared on the podcast Not Just Football with Cam Heyward and spoke highly of watching the veteran Steelers DT growing up — as well as letting everyone know that he's looking forward to stopping Ravens RB Derrick Henry in 2025. NFL All-Pro sends blunt message to Shedeur Sanders and Browns QB room
The Cleveland Browns roll into training camp with a crowded quarterback room, including former Colorado standout Shedeur Sanders. The fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft joins a group that includes veterans Joe Flacco, Deshaun Watson, and Kenny Pickett, as well as fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, a third-round pick from Oregon. With five quarterbacks on the roster and no clear-cut starter, Cleveland faces major competition at the position heading into the season. Advertisement Flacco is projected to start Week 1, but that's not a guarantee either. Given his experience and past success with head coach Kevin Stefanski, it's the most likely scenario. However, the Browns have a history of rotating quarterbacks, with nine starters over the last two seasons. Unfortunately, that trend could continue if injuries or underperformance occur in the initial weeks of the season. Sanders may find himself on the field before the season ends. His Day 3 draft status means very little after already making an impact in Cleveland. The situation has even drawn the attention of rival AFC East players. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward poked fun at the Browns' quarterback surplus of QBs on his podcast, 'Not Just Football,' questioning the logic of rostering so many signal-callers. The comments were in part a response to Cleveland's own jab at Pittsburgh in their schedule release video, which called the Steelers a 'dumpster fire.' 'You don't know what's going on in Cleveland at the quarterback position. But you still have a lot of respect for guys like [Joe] Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel. How many different quarterbacks we got over there?' Heyward said. Aaron Rodgers is still an option at this point, but that would add another veteran into the mix. Sanders was linked to the Steelers before the draft and even took a visit to meet with coaches. Related: Top five-star adds Deion Sanders and Colorado to offer list While the Browns may ultimately use the depth at the QB position this year, there's growing speculation that Sanders could rise up the depth chart. Whether as a long-term answer or short-term solution 'Grown' may soon get his opportunity in Cleveland.

Steelers rookie Derrick Harmon says he wants to face Ravens superstar the most
Steelers rookie Derrick Harmon says he wants to face Ravens superstar the most Steelers rookie first-rounder Derrick Harmon wants all the smoke this season! Cam Heyward and co-host Hayden Walsh recently had Harmon on their podcast, Not Just Football with Cam Heyward, in a special sit-down interview that appeared to be set in the Steelers locker room. Walsh asked Harmon which team or player he was looking forward to facing in 2025 — and the Steelers rookie once again warmed the hearts of the Black and Gold faithful with his answer: "Derrick Henry." Pittsburgh could not contain the Ravens superstar RB in the final two matchups of the 2025 regular and postseason — as Henry ran for 348 yards and two TDs in Week 16 and the wild-card playoff matchup. Harmon was a part of the Steelers' clear 2025 NFL Draft strategy to bolster the run defense that fell apart at the end of 2024 — and the true measuring stick for whether it worked will undoubtedly be against Baltimore. He'll get his chance to dethrone King Henry when the Steelers face the Ravens in Weeks 14 and 18 — and if anyone can do it, it's Harmon.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Cam Heyward fires shots at the Cleveland Browns after the QB draft haul

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward subtly underlines that the Browns have filled in too many quarterbacks. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The subtle mock from the Steelers' player might be a response to the trolling the Browns made ahead of the official schedule release last Wednesday. In the back-and-forth, the playful jabs at the rival teams have surely started building up the excitement ahead of the commencement of the 2025 season. The Pittsburgh Steelers star takes a dig at the Cleveland Browns The Browns' current team positions consist of five quarterbacks, including Deshaun Watson , Kenny Pickett , Joe Flacco , and their recently drafted picks, such as Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Despite the Steelers not being at the top of their game, the Browns' subtle jab of playfully comparing the team to a 'dumpster fire' indeed made buzz on X. Reacting To The 2025 Steelers Schedule LIVE Responding to this playful jab, the defensive lineman Heyward from the Steelers had a message to say on his recent appearance on his podcast, 'Not Just Football with Cam Heyward.' The Steelers took a jab at the Browns amid their QB haul. He stated, "You don't know what's going on in Cleveland at the quarterback position. But you still have a lot of respect for guys like [Joe] Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel — uh, how many different quarterbacks we got over there? I know [the Browns] called us a dumpster fire today, but I'm just trying to figure out how many quarterbacks we got over there." Sheesh! The words from Heyward would definitely hit a spot, and we might witness the Browns respond to that in the near future. While the Browns fans hope for the new additions to bring in the required stability in their gameplay, Heyward's remarks might have highlighted a truth that they have to face. With Sanders bringing in praises for his rookie minicamp practices, it will be intriguing to watch what unfolds this year's NFL season. Also Read:
