Sultan's Special Force marks annual day
MUSCAT: The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) on Sunday celebrated its annual day which falls on March 15 every year. The ceremony, which saw the graduation of a new batch of soldier recruits, was held under the auspices of Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office. Upon the arrival of the chief guest at Al Sumood Camp's military parade ground, the Royal Guard of Oman's band played the Royal Anthem. The column of the graduates gave the military salute to the chief guest. Gen Sultan al Numani inspected the front row of the column. Then, the graduates performed a military show, passing in front of the dais, and they gave the military salute to the chief guest. Graduation was held under the auspices of Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office Then, Gen Sultan al Numani handed over prizes to the top graduates. The graduates took the Oath of Allegiance and chanted thrice, 'Long live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.' Later, the chief guest presented the 'Medal of Excellent Service' and the 'Medal of Royal Commendation' to senior officers, officers and non-commissioned officers from the SSF in appreciation of their dedication to the sacred national duty. — ONA
