
Sultan's Special Force marks Annual Day
Muscat: The Sultan's Special Force (SSF) today celebrated its annual day which falls on 15 March every year.
The ceremony, which saw the graduation of a new batch of soldier recruits, was held under the auspices of Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office.
Upon the arrival of the chief guest at Al Sumood Camp's military parade ground, the Royal Guard of Oman's band played the Royal Anthem. The column of the graduates gave the military salute to the chief guest.
Gen. Sultan Al Nu'mani inspected the front row of the column. Then, the graduates performed a military show, passing in front of the dais, and they gave the military salute to the chief guest.
Then, Gen. Sultan Al Nu'mani handed over prizes to the top graduates.
The graduates took the Oath of Allegiance and chanted thrice, 'Long live His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.'

Royal decree ratifies Oman-Russia visa waiver agreement
Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday issued two Royal decrees reading as follows: Royal Decree No 52/2025 cancels "Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability". Article (1) states that "Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability" shall be cancelled. Article (2) stipulates that the allocations, origins, rights, obligations and assets of "Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability" shall be transferred to the Financial Services Authority. Article (3) states that employees of "Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability" shall be transferred to the Financial Services Authority, along with their respective financial grades. Article (4) cancels all that contradicts this decree or contravenes its provisions. Article (5) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue. Royal decree No 53/2025 ratifies an agreement between the government of the Sultanate of Oman and the government of the Russian Federation on mutual waiving of visas, signed in Moscow on April 22, 2025. Article (1) ratifies the aforementioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree. Article (2) says that this Royal decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

HM The Sultan Issues Royal Decree
Muscat- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued a Royal decree reading as follows: Royal Decree No. 51/2025 transfers the Directorate General of Medical Services from the Diwan of Royal Court to the Ministry of Health. Article (1) states that the Directorate General of Medical Services shall be transferred from the Diwan of Royal Court to the Ministry of Health. Article (2) stipulates that all allocations, rights, obligations and assets that belong to the Directorate General of Medical Services shall be transferred to the Ministry of Health. Article (3) transfers all occupants of medical and paramedical jobs, as well as other personnel of the Directorate General of Medical Services, to the Ministry of Health, along with their respective job status, grades and financial allocations. Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

H M Sultan Haitham to perform Eid Al Adha
Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will perform the Eid Al Adha prayer for the year 1446 AH at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Nizwa in Dakhliyah Governorate. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Diwan of Royal Court announced that His Majesty will be accompanied by members of the Royal Family, ministers, advisors, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces, Royal Oman Police, and other security services. Also attending will be members of the State Council and Majlis A'Shura representing Dakhliyah, undersecretaries, walis, and a number of sheikhs, dignitaries, and citizens. The Diwan of Royal Court extended its warmest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan on the blessed occasion of Eid Al Adha. It also conveyed greetings to the Omani people, residents in the sultanate, and Muslims across the world, praying for continued good health and well-being for His Majesty and enduring prosperity for Oman
