The elimination or severe decrease in face rotation is what makes zero-torque putters so intriguing for so many golfers. According to Callaway's research, that means fewer three-putts and better feel from a wider area of the face. Both putters feature a built-in 3.3 degrees of shaft lean to promote a natural forward press, and each is finished in a navy blue PVD for a clean, modern look. The standard Max 1 model has a single white alignment line running through the center of the crown, while the Max 1 Stripe uses a bold, high-contrast design. A golf ball–width white stripe spans the top of the putter, split by a black center line to help with precise aiming.
