MBRHE launches 'Back to School' initiative in collaboration with Dubai Police
Dubai: The Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), in partnership with Dubai Police, has launched the 'Back to School' initiative in the Muhaisnah area to mark the beginning of the new academic year. The initiative forms part of a series of community-focused programmes aimed at bringing joy to students and fostering a supportive educational environment. The initiative featured the participation of Dubai Police mascots, Officer Mansour and Officer Amna, whose engaging presence created a lively and interactive atmosphere for children. A special showcase of Dubai Police's luxury patrol vehicles was also presented, helping to raise security awareness among students and their families in an enjoyable yet safe setting. Both MBRHE and Dubai Police reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening community engagement and outreach. As part of the initiative, comprehensive school supply kits were distributed to children, in line with the shared objectives of the Year of Community. The Back to School initiative reflects MBRHE's core values of People First and Solidarity, and aligns with its vision to provide pioneering, sustainable housing and community services that enhance the well-being of Dubai's citizens. Top dogs take the stage at Dubai's K9 Show this weekend
Dubai: Dubai Police invite the public to experience the region's first-ever International K9 Show, kicking off this Friday at the Dubai Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf. Running over three days, the event blends excitement, education, and entertainment in one dynamic, family-friendly experience. It is open to all and free of charge. Th event will feature live demonstrations by police K9 units from across the UAE, showcasing their extraordinary skills in detection, tracking, and rescue operations. Dog owners The International K9 Show also offers a special opportunity for licensed dog owners to participate in two major competitions, certified by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). Across eight diverse categories, the contests are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, with the first day dedicated to German Shepherd breeds, and the second open to all dog breed with a prize pool of Dh30,000. Participants will also compete in other competitions for a total prize pool of Dh20,000, adding a competitive edge to this one-of-a-kind event while celebrating canine excellence and responsible ownership. Family fun Families can also enjoy interactive zones for children, pony rides, performances by the Dubai Police band, and meet mascots Officer Mansour and Officer Amina. Dog owners are encouraged to bring their pets and participate in training workshops, while attendees of all ages can explore educational exhibits and enjoy diverse food kiosks. Activities run daily from 4pm to 11pm, Friday through Sunday.
