Benny Blanco Takes Selena Gomez to Prom & Shares Snaps From Their Adorable Mall Photoshoot

Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez are kicking off prom season early, with the couple attending their own version of the traditional American high school event in a video posted by the producer on Thursday (April 24). In text typed over the Instagram clip, Blanco explains that — since his fiancée never got the chance to go to her own prom as a teenager — he asked the Rare Beauty founder to get dressed up with him and take photos at the mall as if they were attending a fancy school dance. The video then shows Gomez getting ready in a purple ballgown and planting a kiss on the 'Eastside' musician after doing the traditional walk-down-the-stairs dress reveal. The couple then participates in an adorable photoshoot, with Blanco wrapping his arms around Gomez for one shot and the Only Murders in the Building actress sitting on his back, Blanco down on all fours in his tux, for another. 'It was more fun than either of us expected it to be,' the Open Wide author wrote. The post comes a couple weeks after Blanco opened up about throwing a prom for his 37th birthday in March while on The Jennifer Hudson Show. 'Selena had never been to a prom before, so I thought I'd throw us a prom for my birthday,' he gushed at the time. 'She didn't even know. She was like, 'What am I supposed to wear? What am I supposed to do?' It was like she was really going to prom. I got her a little corsage.' After first starting dating in mid-2023, Blanco and Gomez got engaged in December last year. In March, they dropped their first joint album as a couple: I Said I Love You First, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Watch Blanco take Gomez to 'prom' below. Selena Gomez May Have An Unexpected Hit On Her Hands

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco impacted the Billboard charts last week with I Said I Love You First, their collaborative full-length. The set launched with plenty of momentum, driven largely by interest in the duo's relationship and the exciting nature of the release. But now, just a frame later, that enthusiasm seems to be cooling. Many of the tracks that debuted last time around have vanished entirely, and the project as a whole is slipping. Still, not all hope is lost. One standout track from the project actually gaining on the charts. 'Ojos Tristes,' a collaboration with the band The Marías, is proving itself to be something of a surprisingly popular cut, and its performance this week might offer a glimmer of hope for the future of the set. When I Said I Love You First first arrived, a handful of its cuts earned immediate appearances on various Billboard rankings. That's fairly common for a buzzy, high-profile drop, but now, most of those titles have already disappeared. Only one is defying that trend: 'Ojos Tristes.' The track, which brings together Gomez, Blanco, and The Marías, is not only sticking around, but actually climbing. This frame, 'Ojos Tristes' appears on at least eight Billboard charts. It improves its standing on five of them and debuts on several others. Among the many tallies where 'Ojos Tristes' is gaining, the most notable must be the Hot 100. Last week, Gomez and Blanco occupied several spots on the chart. This time, they still manage to hold onto two slots, but only one of those cuts is moving in a positive direction. 'Call Me When You Break Up,' the album's first single and a collaboration with Gracie Abrams, slips from its previous high of No. 46 to No. 60 in its fifth week on the chart. In contrast, 'Ojos Tristes' rises slightly, stepping up from No. 59, where it launched, to No. 56. That upward movement is modest, but in a week when most of the other tracks are falling off completely, it stands out. 'Ojos Tristes' also climbs to new highs on several other charts at the same time. The cut steps up by more than 10 spots on both of Billboard's global rankings, and those jumps suggest that international audiences are catching on as well. The cut is also inching closer to the pinnacle of both the Hot Latin Songs and Latin Streaming Songs charts. After launching inside the top five last frame, 'Ojos Tristes' is now making a serious play for the crown, advancing slightly on the two tallies. 'Ojos Tristes' is also the inaugural chart-topper on a newly-launched Billboard ranking. This week, the company introduces the Hot Latin Pop Songs chart, and Gomez, Blanco, and The Marías land the first-ever No. 1 on the tally. Elsewhere, 'Ojos Tristes' debuts at No. 41 on the Streaming Songs chart, which tracks the most-played tunes across all streaming-only platforms in the U.S. The cut didn't debut there when the album first arrived — usually the frame when streaming numbers are at their peak — meaning it's actually growing in popularity. 'Ojos Tristes' may not have been an obvious single when I Said I Love You First dropped, but a week later, it's looking more and more like the unexpected hit of the set. The album was released just one week ago, and while most of its tracks are already fading, this collaboration could help the project slow its decline.

Selena Gomez's New Album Has Managed To Produce A No. 1 Hit

Selena Gomez has delivered plenty of hits throughout her pop career, but her latest album hasn't produced any major smashes. While that's still the case, at least one tune from the singer's new project, I Said I Love You First – a collaborative full-length with her fiancé Benny Blanco – has become a chart-topper. Gomez is back in charge of one of Billboard's songs rankings this week. 'Ojos Tristes' launches at No. 1 on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart. The genre-blending collaboration with Blanco and the band The Marías – though the band isn't credited on the tune when it comes to this specific Billboard chart, and only this one – gives I Said I Love You First a breakout hit…if only on one tally, and only for a moment. While Gomez doesn't often make music in Spanish, this tune does not mark her first trip to the summit on this particular tally. 'Ojos Tristes' is her fifth leader on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart, Billboard's ranking of the top-selling Spanish-language songs in the U.S. She first rose to the top back in 2018 with the global smash 'Taki Taki,' fronted by DJ Snake and also featuring Ozuna and Cardi B. That track dominated for 19 weeks. Then, in 2021, she returned with three more hits: 'De Una Vez,' 'Baila Conmigo' with Rauw Alejandro, and 'Selfish Love,' another cut with DJ Snake. All three climbed to No. 1, though they didn't hold on nearly as long as her first. Including her latest release, Gomez has now scored 10 wins on the Latin Digital Song Sales tally. Half of those tracks — five in total — have climbed all the way to the peak. Beyond that, just one other track, '999,' her team-up with Camilo, managed to break into the top 10, but it didn't quite make it to the highest tier. 'Ojos Tristes' isn't the only tune from I Said I Love You First impacting the rankings in America. It's one of at least half a dozen songs featured on the full-length that appear somewhere on the Billboard charts. Several of the cuts, including 'Ojos Tristes,' manage to break onto the Hot 100, with others find space on the global tallies and even the dance rankings. The album is a multi-genre affair, and while it may not be filled with obvious hits, it's clear that plenty of listeners engaged with the project in its debut frame.

Since then, she's continued to evolve as a solo artist with hit singles like 'Bam Bam' and her genre-blurring fourth studio album C,XOXO, which blends pop, trap, reggaeton and punk. Following a string of memorable performances at major international festivals last summer, including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Rock in Rio Lisbon (Portugal), and Tinderbox Festival (Denmark), Camila will kick off the Yours, C tour in Marbella, Spain, before hitting Australia. Speaking about the tour in February, Cabello wrote on Instagram: 'I have been dying to tell you this. You have been so patient, and now it's finally happening. I haven't seen you guys on tour in so long, I wanted it to be a love letter to you guys for the summer. For the summer I'm yours.' At the BAFTAs in London in February, the 'Havana' singer dropped a hint on the red carpet that she would be heading Down Under as part of the tour. 'I'm actually going on tour this summer, for the first time in a very long time, so I'm gonna be on tour all over Europe.' She added, 'I'll be playing some festivals, but a lot of headline shows. I'm gonna be in London July 8th, so I'm excited about that.' Her latest singles 'I Luv It' and 'He Knows' have been making waves online and teasing a bold new era for the former Fifth Harmony star. Kesha Announces Release Date for T-Pain Collaboration ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay'

Kesha is kicking off 2025 with a bang. The superstar's first release of the year arrives in the form of a major collaboration with T-Pain. The 'TiK ToK' singer took to Instagram on Monday (March 24) to announce that the track, 'Yippee-Ki-Yay,' will be released on Thursday (March 27). The corresponding cover art features Kesha in black underwear, wrapped in Saran Wrap. She has her eyes closed as a leaf blower blows air through her blonde hair. Kesha began releasing music under her own label, Kesha Records, in July 2024, starting with 'Joyride' and following it up with 'Delusional.' The independent label has a global distribution deal with ADA that gives her full creative control and ownership of her work. ADA is also working together with Crush Music, Kesha's management company, to oversee marketing and promotion for the pop star's next album, expected to arrive this year. The star's new musical era comes after settling of a defamation suit filed by Dr. Luke in 2023, which came several years after the singer filed a suit against the producer in 2014 alleging physical, sexual and emotional abuse. Kesha also previously teased that her upcoming sixth studio album is complete. 'JUST TURNED IN MY ALBUM… TO MYSELF,' she wrote last week via Instagram.
