37-year-old woman struck and killed in Olathe Thursday night
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck in Olathe Thursday night. According to the Olathe Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of Santa Fe and Blake following reports of a crash involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian around 9:10 p.m. Download WDAF+ for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive woman. Officers, the Olathe Fire Department and EMS tried to save the woman's life at the scene. The female victim was later pronounced dead. The victim was identified as Jill E. Turner, a 37-year-old from Indiana. Police said they are in contact with the driver of the pickup truck, and the driver is cooperating with the investigation. Olathe police investigating after 75-year-old woman found dead inside home
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Olathe Police Department announced on Thursday that they've opened a homicide investigation after a 75-year-old woman was found dead yesterday, April 30. Olathe police officers responded just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, for a welfare check of a woman in the area of N. Persimmon Drive, near Olathe West High School. When officers arrived on the scene, they located the 75-year-old victim dead inside the residence. Police said the circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation at this time. Gayl Stockman was last seen leaving the 15800 block of West 150th Terrace on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, 180 pounds and has brown eyes and grey hair. She was last seen wearing a thin, black long-sleeve shirt, blue and white striped shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes. Police investigating after 21-year-old man shot, killed in Olathe, Kansas
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 21-year-old man is dead, and another man is in custody, after a shooting late Saturday night in Olathe, Kansas, according to law enforcement. The Olathe Police Department reported that just before 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to a neighborhood near East Mart-Way Circle and North Mart-Way Drive for an 'unknown' call. Upon arrival, OPD said a 21-year-old man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was then taken to a hospital, where he later died. Man found dead following overnight shooting in Kansas City, Kansas According to Olathe police, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody following the shooting. Law enforcement said charges against the man are pending as the investigation is ongoing. Police searching for car man tried to lure kids into at Olathe park
Olathe, Ks. — The Olathe Police Department is asking for the public's help locating a car that a man tried to lure children into while they were playing at a park. Man tried to lure kids at Olathe park into car, police say On Monday, March 17, sometime before 1:30 p.m., police said juveniles were playing at a park near South Cook Street when a man asked them to get into his car. Police provided an update Wednesday and said the car is believed to be a silver Chevrolet Malibu, with an unknown temporary license plate and damage to the rear, driver-side bumper. Police also said initially that the car was missing its hubcaps. The police department provided the following photos: The man driving the car was described as being in his 50s or 60s, with darker brown skin and short black hair; he was last seen wearing a red shirt and dark pants.
