Josh Brolin: The Weapons set was really communal
Josh Brolin found filming Weapons to be a really "communal" experience. The 57-year-old actor stars in the new horror film alongside the likes of Julia Garner, Cary Christopher, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan, and Josh has admitted to relishing his time on set. He told The Hollywood Reporter: "Everybody was great on this movie, man. It was just one of those communal experiences that you hope to always have when you're working." Josh particularly loved the experience of working with Julia on the new horror movie. He shared: "People kept saying, 'You guys are going to love each other and it's going to be great'. I got nervous then because I kept thinking, well, what if it's not great? I'm not going to agree to work with someone just because another person tells me that I'm going to like 'em." Despite his initial caution, Josh and Julia developed an immediate chemistry with each other. He said: "We just hit it off immediately. Like immediate cellular, sibling s***." The veteran actor also enjoyed working with Amy Madigan, having known her for years. Josh explained: "I've known Amy for a long time, and I'd come out of the [soundstage] and there she was with all this makeup on and it scared the s*** out of me. I'd want to stay away from her but at the same time, it was Amy and she's so sweet." Similarly, Julia cherished working with Josh, describing her co-star as "amazing". The 31-year-old actress admitted that Josh is "one of [her] favourite actors". She said: "We had so much fun. We spent every day giggling and laughing. "He's one of my favourite actors and he's just the best. Getting to meet him was incredible, and then working with him was incredible because of who he is as a person. He's so present as an actor. It really was a truly remarkable experience all around." Meanwhile, Josh previously admitted to having a "love-hate" relationship with acting. Despite this, the movie star revealed that he loved the experience of "losing [himself]" in a character. He told Forbes: "I always had a love-hate relationship with acting. "Acting to me was, I don't know - playing characters was probably the most fun that I had in really losing yourself in a character, if you're doing, you know, W, or if you're doing Milk or, you know, Only the Brave or Everest or things like that - things that are super adventurous or really deep in character."

Boots shoppers snap up iconic Diesel fragrance with 1,600 five-star reviews now half price
"My husband has been wearing this on and off for years. He loves it, I love it, and it lasts long on him, which always helps." Boots shoppers are snapping up a long-lasting eau de toilette that's been slashed down to half price. Diesel Only The Brave Mens Eau de Toilette would usually cost £60 for a 30ml bottle, but has now dropped down to £30. The fragrance comes in an iconic fist shaped bottle that stands out on any dressing table or shelf. It has a bright opening with citrus notes of Amalfi lemon and mandarin before settling into a masculine heart of cedar, coriander and violet. The base is a well grounded blend of French labdanum, amber styrax, benzoin and leather. It's proven popular with fans of Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier (£46 for 40ml), although Le Male is much sweeter. Rabanne's 1 Million (£57.99 for 50ml), which is quite spicy, is also a popular choice with fans of Only the Brave. It's brought in an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 from more than 2,000 reviews, with an impressive 1,888 of shoppers surveyed saying that they would recommend it. One shopper said: "Fantastic fragrance, three people have randomly complimented me on the tube when I've worn Only the Brave. Great brand and awesome smell - love it." Another was pleased, adding: "My husband has been wearing this on and off for years. He loves it, I love it, and it lasts long on him, which always helps. Great buy." Some shoppers have found it a little too overpowering, though, with one complaining: "It smells good after you let it air for a couple of hours. At first, it's too strong and makes me dizzy. After a couple of hours, it smells good. The aroma lasted the whole day. I really don't like very strong aroma perfumes." It's proven a popular option for dads and sons alike, with one writing: "Love this smell, wish it wasn't so pricey, normally buy it for my dad on father's day, he loves it too." Diesel Only The Brave is now available for £30.

'Must see' Netflix movie is based on a real-life disaster that shocked the US
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info The gripping biographical drama Only The Brave brings to light the true tale of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite American firefighter group that suffered great loss during a devastating wildfire. This film narrates the harrowing experience of their attempt to combat the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona back in 2013. Depicting the unfortunate fate of the 19 firefighters who died battling the flames, leaving surviving member Brendan McDonough, portrayed by Top Gun: Maverick actor Miles Teller, this film touched hearts nationwide and immortalised the team's heroic saga. In the director's chair is Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on the 2022 follow-up to Top Gun, along with projects like Oblivion and the upcoming Brad Pitt-led film F1. Audience reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with one viewer exclaiming on Rotten Tomatoes, "Wow. I don't want to give a single thing away, so I won't comment on the plot. This is a must-see. the acting, the pacing, the storyline, the character arcs, the production, the music tie-ins, the directing. everything!! one of my favourites now." Another viewer was equally moved, stating: "A truly gripping and heart-wrenching true story, Only the Brave showcases Joseph Kosinski's talent as a truly versatile director, with multiple great performances, some horrifying realistic effects, and uncomplicated writing that gets straight to the point," reports the Daily Record. Featuring an ensemble cast, including Josh Brolin, James Badge Dale, and Jeff Bridges as courageous firefighters, the movie is complemented by the talents of Andie MacDowell, Jennifer Connelly, and X-Men's Ben Hardy. The film has received widespread acclaim for its character-driven narrative and the performances of the cast, as well as its thoughtful and respectful handling of the true story, with a mix of authenticity and dramatic flair. (Image: Publicity Picture) One reviewer wrote: "Only The Brave joins many real-life-based films that honour and respect true heroism. This is a movie with good performances and a real emotional centre. There are exhilarating moments that kept me on the edge of my seat, but the movie shines with its human story and really being character-driven." "The ending of this story is pretty heart-breaking stuff, and I think it is impossible for anyone who watches it to not be moved by it." They added the film "flew completely off the radar" upon its release in 2017, and now "deserves more attention". Despite failing to achieve box office success in 2017, generating only $25.8 million worldwide against a production budget of $38 million, Only the Brave continues to captivate new audiences, sharing its uplifting story of real-life heroism and leaving a lasting impression on viewers. A viewer commented: "Although it's very Hollywood, the acting is solid, the story is compelling, and, well, it's about a bunch of real heroes. And you learn a lot about wildfires and how they're fought." Only The Brave is currently available to stream on Netflix.
