The gripping biographical drama Only The Brave brings to light the true tale of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite American firefighter group that suffered great loss during a devastating wildfire. This film narrates the harrowing experience of their attempt to combat the Yarnell Hill Fire in Arizona back in 2013.
Depicting the unfortunate fate of the 19 firefighters who died battling the flames, leaving surviving member Brendan McDonough, portrayed by Top Gun: Maverick actor Miles Teller, this film touched hearts nationwide and immortalised the team's heroic saga. In the director's chair is Joseph Kosinski, known for his work on the 2022 follow-up to Top Gun, along with projects like Oblivion and the upcoming Brad Pitt-led film F1.
Audience reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with one viewer exclaiming on Rotten Tomatoes, "Wow. I don't want to give a single thing away, so I won't comment on the plot. This is a must-see. the acting, the pacing, the storyline, the character arcs, the production, the music tie-ins, the directing. everything!! one of my favourites now."
Another viewer was equally moved, stating: "A truly gripping and heart-wrenching true story, Only the Brave showcases Joseph Kosinski's talent as a truly versatile director, with multiple great performances, some horrifying realistic effects, and uncomplicated writing that gets straight to the point," reports the Daily Record.
Featuring an ensemble cast, including Josh Brolin, James Badge Dale, and Jeff Bridges as courageous firefighters, the movie is complemented by the talents of Andie MacDowell, Jennifer Connelly, and X-Men's Ben Hardy. The film has received widespread acclaim for its character-driven narrative and the performances of the cast, as well as its thoughtful and respectful handling of the true story, with a mix of authenticity and dramatic flair.

One reviewer wrote: "Only The Brave joins many real-life-based films that honour and respect true heroism. This is a movie with good performances and a real emotional centre. There are exhilarating moments that kept me on the edge of my seat, but the movie shines with its human story and really being character-driven."
"The ending of this story is pretty heart-breaking stuff, and I think it is impossible for anyone who watches it to not be moved by it." They added the film "flew completely off the radar" upon its release in 2017, and now "deserves more attention".
Despite failing to achieve box office success in 2017, generating only $25.8 million worldwide against a production budget of $38 million, Only the Brave continues to captivate new audiences, sharing its uplifting story of real-life heroism and leaving a lasting impression on viewers. A viewer commented: "Although it's very Hollywood, the acting is solid, the story is compelling, and, well, it's about a bunch of real heroes. And you learn a lot about wildfires and how they're fought."
Only The Brave is currently available to stream on Netflix.

My Chemical Romance set to play Wembley Stadium after UK tour tease

My Chemical Romance fans are going wild after a Wembley Stadium show was all but confirmed for an upcoming UK tour. The American emo rock legends, best known for huge hits like Welcome To The Black Parade and I'm Not Okay (I Promise), haven't performed in the UK since dates in Milton Keynes and Warrington on their postponed 2022 reunion tour. However, that looks set to change after some major teases about a UK leg of their Long Live The Black Parade Tour, which could take place in 2026. The band – featuring founding members Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero and Ray Toro – are currently celebrating almost two decades since their iconic rock opera, and it'll be our turn soon. Last night, the official Wembley Stadium social media accounts shared a photo of the famous arch lit up red, with the group's cryptic imagery on display. Not surprisingly, fans have gone into full meltdown mode – they're really not okay. 'MY CHEM are going to play Wembley? Wild,' wrote @djrustynail, while @emobuckeybarnes added: 'MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM I NEED TO BE THERE (sic)' 'i'm gonna pass out i'm so excited,' @g0th1cluvr admitted, as @bearnellied said: 'Get in losers we're seeing MCR at Wembley.' Others are a little concerned at the lack of teases by other venues, and hope there are more UK dates to be confirmed. 'Please be more than just a London date,' begged @brettd1981, with many other fans making similar pleas. Considered one of the most influential bands of their era and genre, My Chem released four full studio albums and a string of Platinum-selling singles between 2003 and 2010. The band called it a day in 2013 after more than a decade in the spotlight, before reuniting for a one-off show in 2019 and announcing tour dates across the world in 2020, which were postponed until 2022 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. At this time, the band released their first new song in eight years – The Foundations of Decay – but a new album never arrived, and the reunion tour concluded in 2023. In tragic news, previous drummer Bryar was found dead at his home in November 2024, and the band played only two shows that year. MCR returned to regular live shows in July 2025 on the Long Live The Black Parade Tour and have more shows planned for 2026, and now a new video on social media recently teased a return to the UK for the first time in four years. In the video, which features a parody game show called Quizzo, the host asks says: 'Our two fine contestants will help us learn who will be the next lucky country to win the grand prize of one nuclear winter?' After one of the contestants presses a big button, the host shouts, 'Congratulations, United Kingdom!' indicating that the Teenagers hitmakers will be heading here soon. Naturally, My Chem fans have taken this news calmly. @KofidereVT said: 'My Chemical Romance may have just teased UK dates. I swear to god, I will scream to get an opportunity to see them live again. Gerard Way, don't break my heart.' @Cryophantasm jumped the gun: 'My Chemical Romance has just announced a UK tour, this is not a drill, I am going to die,' while @ArtsTinyHat said they would 'not be calm' about the news. Meanwhile, @RoozNotDead joked My Chemical Romance touring the UK would mean that their money is 'not safe'. More Trending During their heyday, My Chemical Romance scored nine top 40 singles in the UK and released two top 10 studio albums, with 2006's The Black Parade reaching number two on the album charts. Their biggest win came in October 2006 when their song Welcome to the Black Parade unexpectedly spent two weeks at number one, beating competition from the likes of Nicole Scherzinger, Girls Aloud, and Meat Loaf. Welcome to the Black Parade remains the band's most successful song to date, having been certified 2x Platinum in the UK and a whopping 7x Platinum in America. Got a story? Kylie Jenner's birthday tainted by Timothée Chalamet's brutal snub amid split rumours

Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet marked Kylie Jenner's 28th birthday with a cryptic Instagram post and it has sparked fresh speculation about their relationship Timothée Chalamet marked Kylie Jenner 's 28th birthday on Saturday with a cryptic social media post, fuelling ongoing speculation that the pair have ended their relationship. ‌ The Call Me By Your Name actor, 29, shared an image from a historic boxing match showing Muhammad Ali celebrating victory, overlaid with the words 'Dream Big' in red, handwritten-style lettering instead of wishing his girlfriend a happy 28th birthday. ‌ The American-French actors cryptic post has now added fuel to fire as fans fear that Kylie and Timothee have officially called it a day. It comes after Kourtney Kardashian's fans pointed out a deadly parenting mistake as the star took emergency action. ‌ Timothée and Kylie were first linked in April 2023 after reports surfaced that they had been spending time together. They made their first public appearance as a couple in September that year at Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour in Los Angeles, where they were photographed kissing and laughing together in the VIP section. Since then, the couple have kept their relationship relatively low-key, occasionally being photographed on outings but avoiding public commentary about one another. ‌ Over the past month, fans have noted the absence of any new images of the pair together, with Kylie also posting a series of Instagram Stories featuring melancholy song lyrics which have further fuelled rumours of a split. The timing and content of Timothée's post on Kylie's birthday left many fans baffled as some believe the 'Dream Big' message may be a subtle reference to his upcoming film Marty Supreme, due for release on Christmas Day. ‌ According to IMDb, the drama follows 'Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, [who] goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness.' While Timothée decided to publicly snub Kylie's birthday, her famous family marked her big day with their annual warm and emotional posts. ‌ Kylie's mum, Kris Jenner shared a carousel of throwback images of her youngest daughter as she wrote: 'Happy birthday to my baby girl!! You are truly beautiful inside and out… You are so smart, strong, creative, loving, kind, funny, and always so supportive… I love you beyond measure… Mommy.' Meanwhile, Kendall Jenner shared childhood photos alongside the caption 'my little lady forever,' to which Kylie responded: 'kendall jenner !!!!' ‌ Khloé Kardashian posted a montage of photos and a video of Kylie holding a cake at what appeared to be a Saturday night birthday gathering. Khloe, 41, captioned it: "Forever and then some, I love you to the moon and back. Happy birthday my girl… My soulmate sister… I love you beyond words, always and forever. With all my heart, Your second mommy, Khloé.' Kourtney Kardashian posted: "Tinker Bell! May you shine forever my little goose sister.' While Kim wrote: 'Kylie's day! Happy Birthday to the goat." The birthday girl also shared her own post, uploading childhood snaps including one where she sits proudly with her first bicycle, captioning it: 'happy birthday to meeee.'
