The idol had been preparing for his official comeback to the Korean entertainment industry on May 6 but was faced with a lot of criticism from netizens following the drugs scandal that rocked the internet. According to a report by K-media news outlet Xsports News, the concert, which was supposed to be held at ' K-pop Week in Hongdae ', ended up getting cancelled due to said criticism and backlash online and offline. The news outlet reported 'Nam Tae Hyun was determined to make a sincere return, and we hoped the audience would see his genuine side on stage.' The artist had earlier shared the news, excited on his social media platforms with the caption, 'It's been a long time since I've had the chance to greet you through a performance. The celebrity has been under public scrutiny since 2022 for the case. Nam Tae Hyun returns to the stage in Seoul The singer, who was sentenced to jail and probation, is all set to make his official return to the stage. The singer is preparing to perform at the ' K-pop Week in Hongdae ' event on May 6. The event is set to be held in the West Bridge Live Hall , which is located in the Mapo-gu district of Seoul. This is going to be the idol's first ever public appearance since his involvement in a drug-related case as well as the revenge porn scandal, as reported by Allkpop. The singer took to his social media platforms to share his thoughts on the incident. He shared that "It's been a long time since I've had the chance to greet you through a performance. A lot has happened, but as an artist who loves music and as someone who has matured a little more, I am returning to my place." He also said that "Thanks to the love and support of those precious people around me, I was able to gather the courage to sing again.
