Israeli War Spending Tops $46 Billion as Daily Cost of Gaza Assault Surpasses $81 Million

As the Palestinian resistance endures in the face of relentless Israeli aggression, new data reveals the staggering toll the war has taken on the Zionist entity's economy. Israeli Channel 12 reported Thursday that, 600 days after the Palestinian resistance launched the landmark Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023, the financial toll on the Israeli occupation—through its so-called 'Operation Swords of Iron'—has exceeded $46 billion in direct military costs, making it one of the most economically draining wars in its history. According to figures from the Israeli security establishment cited in the report, the average cost of a single day of war is approximately 300 million shekels (about $81 million). These figures represent only the direct military expenditures, excluding broader economic impacts such as civilian compensation, evacuation costs, and non-defense emergency measures. The report emphasized that the Israeli occupation forces, unusually transparent for a military institution, have provided real-time budgetary updates throughout the conflict. Of the total more than $40 billion spent so far: Approximately $1.36 billion has been allocated for rehabilitation, medical treatment, and family support services. However, Channel 12 noted growing concern within the defense establishment and Finance Ministry over the enduring nature of these costs. Unlike wartime expenditures, these are long-term liabilities. Payments to wounded soldiers, widows, orphans, and others under the Ministry of War's Rehabilitation Division will persist for years. The report added that around 16,000 Zionist soldiers have been injured in the war so far, with nearly 50% suffering from psychological trauma. Channel 12 linked the war's staggering cost directly to the adoption of the Israeli austerity budget for 2025, which includes tax increases to help cover military expenditures. The Finance Ministry, the report added, fears the prolonged conflict could force a reopening of the 2025 budget due to projected overspending by the security establishment in the billions. This scenario could result in further budget cuts and additional tax hikes as early as 2026. The war's mounting financial burden continues to drain the Israeli occupation's economy, reflecting the sustained resilience and impact of the Palestinian resistance.

Israeli Military Admits Failure to Protect Kibbutz in October 7 Attack in New Probe

The Israeli occupation army published the investigation into October 7 attack on Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak on, in which it determined that the Israeli military failed in its mission to protect the kibbutz and its settlers. The findings were presented to the settlers of the kibbutz and the families of the captives before they were made public on Friday. The investigation found that the 2023 Hamas's assault on Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak raged on for many hours, with the Kibbutz security forces left to face dozens of Hamas fighters alone. Around 90 Hamas fighters broke into the community in two waves, captured five Israeli settlers and three soldiers' bodies, and set the kibbutz factory on fire. Only at 13:30 — more than seven hours after the battle began — did the first Israeli troop enter the kibbutz, just four minutes after the last fighters left, according to the probe. The findings published Friday are the latest in a series of detailed investigations into some 40 battles that took place during Hamas's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Similar to other investigations, the probe concluded that the Israeli military 'failed in its mission to protect' the residents of Nir Yitzhak, mainly because the military never prepared for such an event. The occupation military also lacked an intelligence warning, and therefore, troops were unprepared for Hamas's attack, the probe found.

J&K's Biggest Terror Attack On Civilians In 2 Decades, Weeks After Hamas, JeM, LeT Leaders Seen Publicly In PoK

Though Indian agencies have not established a Hamas link to the Pahalgam attack, it closely resembles the 7 October 2023 Hamas strike on Israel that led to all-out war Precisely 75 days since senior Hamas leaders were seen in public at a high-profile rally and conference in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)—an event that also saw the top leadership from terror outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Lashkar-e-Mustafa (LeM)—Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its most lethal civilian-targeted terror attack in more than two decades. The attack at Pahalgam left over two dozen people dead, including an Israeli and an Italian national. The official figure may also rise, as the government has yet to give details about the casualties. The terrorists used the route from Poonch that is nearest to the site where the conference was conducted, sources added. Though Indian central agencies have not established conclusive proof or a link of direct or indirect involvement of Hamas in the attack, it closely resembles the 7 October 2023 Hamas strike on Israel that led to all-out war. The modus operandi, target selection, and coordination are uncannily similar, though the violence is at a different scale. The conference had already raised concerns among Indian central intelligence agencies, as they expected a 'give and take" treaty of manpower. Sources also said that agencies had inputs on the planning of an attack in J&K. PoK conference About 90-100 terrorists, mostly from foreign countries, were present at the 'Kashmir Solidarity and Hamas Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" on February 5 at Rawalakot, PoK, a senior government official said. According to him, the conference had been organised in order to spin a common tale of Pakistan and Palestine as well-knit united fronts against Israel and India. Hamas leaders such as Dr Khalid Qaddoumi, Dr Naji Zaheer, Mufti Azam, and five others spoke to the assembly. They wore shawls with Pakistan, Palestine, and their organisation's flags printed on them. Talha Saif, the brother of India's most-wanted terrorist Masood Azhar, was also present among key members of the JeM and LeT. An Israeli government official told News18 that intelligence hints that Hamas leaders have in the past made repeated trips to PoK, and Israel has been asking India to officially declare Hamas a terrorist group. Attack parallels On 7 October 2023, Hamas staged a synchronised attack on Israel with a huge rocket barrage against cities such as Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Jerusalem, followed by armed incursions into surrounding towns. Militants attacked civilians, set houses on fire, and engaged in mass killings, including the massacre of more than 260 individuals at a music festival near Re'im. Around 1,200 people were killed in the attack, including soldiers and cops. In an equally ruthless manner, terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, attacked a tourist hub, firing at civilians after allegedly ascertaining their religious identities. With more than two dozen victims, this was the worst terror attack in the region since 2002. Authorities have certified that the attack was well planned and practised, leading to security alerts throughout J&K.

Jihad Movement reiterates commitment to resistance till prisoners freed

Gaza - Saba: The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine stated that the issue of prisoners is a "comprehensive national issue" that concerns every Palestinian family and every home. On the occasion of Palestinian Prisoners' Day, the movement emphasized that the arbitrary detention practiced by the occupying entity not only constitutes an assault on individual rights, but also undermines the stability of entire families and affects Palestinian society as a whole. More than a quarter of our Palestinian people have experienced captivity and its suffering across the country. The movement said in a statement that the occupying entity is holding approximately 14,000 Palestinian prisoners in its various detention centers, including 3,498 administrative detainees, 400 children, and 27 women. Since October 7, 2023, the occupation army has arrested more than 2,000 Palestinian citizens from the Gaza Strip. They are being tortured inside prison walls amid exceptional military measures, resulting in the deaths of 63 of them in prison as a result of medical negligence and lethal torture. The movement emphasized that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" was launched primarily to impose a genuine prisoner exchange deal that would free prisoners from occupation prisons and alleviate the suffering of our people. It made their liberation an unwavering goal in the battle for dignity and freedom. It added: "At a time when the so-called free world is revolting to release the occupation soldiers, the international community is tarnished by its silence regarding the suffering of tens of thousands of Palestinian prisoners, which has continued for decades, amidst a clear and shameless double standard." The movement paid tribute to our valiant prisoners in the occupation's dungeons and to their steadfast families, expressing its appreciation for their steadfastness and struggle in the battles for dignity and liberation inside the detention centers. We renew our pledge to remain faithful to the promise of their liberation and freedom. The movement also called on our Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of the world to exert all efforts and launch popular and media solidarity campaigns in capitals and universities, to exert pressure on governments, and to organize popular activities to put an end to the occupation's violations and rescue the prisoners. It also renewed the pledge of the resistance's commitment to liberating our heroic prisoners from the enemy's prisons, until the banners of freedom are raised in every Palestinian home. Leaders of Axis of Resistance Address Al-Quds Platform: Al-Aqsa Flood Reversed Formulas, Commitment to Palestinian Cause Leads to Victory

Leaders of the axis of resistance addressed on Wednesday Al-Quds Platform event held annually on International Al-Quds Day to reiterate support to the Palestinian cause. The speeches delivered by leaders from Lebanon, Iran, Palestine and Yemen concentrated on the role of 'Operation Al-Aqsa Flood' in exposing the fragility of the Zionist entity and recalled the great legacy of the martyred leaders, especially the former Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah. Sheikh Qassem: Al-Aqsa Flood Reversed Formulas, Hezbollah Will Neither Accept Israeli Occupation Nor Abandon Prisoners Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed on Wednesday that 'Israel' has failed to legitimize its occupation of Palestine over the 75 years, and the occupation entity has no borders. Addressing Al-Quds Platform event held annually in support of the Palestinian cause, Sheikh Qassem indicated that 'Operation Al-Aqsa Flood' reversed the formulas of the conflict and that the Palestinian cause has illuminated throughout the whole world since October 7. 'Al-Aqsa Flood has proved that the Zionist entity is suffering a crisis of existence,' Sheikh Qassem said. 'All respect to the heroic Palestinian people who have sacrificed so much to remain on their land. Salute to the resistance factions and the people of Gaza, the West Bank, Al-Quds and the 1948 territories.' Sheikh Qassem said, 'Despite over 50,000 martyrs, starvation, genocide and oppression, the Palestinian people remain steadfast, trusting in God's victory and support.' His eminence noted that this people sacrificed its leaders as martyrs on the path of liberating Al-Quds, affirming standing by the Palestinian people with the slogan 'We are committed to the covenant, O' Al-Quds'. Sheikh Qassem stressed that the ultimate goal of the enemy is to eradicate the Palestinian cause, expel the people of Gaza and the West Bank, occupy lands in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan, and impose its will on the Middle East. Heavy sacrifices will frustrate the US-Israeli scheme of eradicating the Palestinian cause and fragmenting the region in order to control it firmly and completely. 'We are sure of the divine victory for this great cause, the Palestinian cause.' Hezbollah Secretary General continued, 'Holy God has honored us with Imam Khomeini (may God sanctify his soul), who called for concerted efforts for the cause and for Quds Day, and with Imam Khamenei (may his shadow endure), who supports the Axis of Resistance in the face of the enemy.' Sheikh Qassem maintained that the Axis of Resistance is indebted to the leader of the martyrs of the Axis of Resistance, Hajj Qassem Suleimani. We miss him and, along with the martyred President Sayyed Ibrahim Raisi who was committed to supporting the Palestinian.' 'The Axis of Resistance is grateful to Islamic Iran.' Sheikh Qassem added: 'Hezbollah backed Gaza in the support battle and 'Battle of Mighty Warriors'. Our most prominent sacrifice was the martyrdom of His Eminence Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, and all the martyrs in Lebanon.' He said, 'Israel has not been able to achieve its goals in Lebanon, and the resistance continues with its strong presence, working where is suitable, and moving wisely according to the requirements of the confrontation.' Sheikh Qassem continued: 'The Lebanese state must fulfill its duties and pressure those who sponsored the agreement. We will not accept the continuation of the occupation, and we will not abandon the prisoners.' Hezbollah Chief said: 'My sincere greetings to the Yemeni people, led by Sayyed Al-Houthi… the people who are making sacrifices in the face of the American-Zionist enemy. Yemen has been creative in its support for Palestine.' Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Yemen's support for Gaza holds the Muslim countries responsible. They have the ability to support GAza if they decide that.' Sheikh Qassem greeted Iraq, which provided the capabilities, steadfastness, and support, and offered its martyr, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.' 'We are honored to be part of the axis of resistance in the face of the axis of tyranny. Our martyred leaders, we will not deviate from your path until victory or martyrdom.' Sayyed Houthi: We will continue supporting Gaza despite the US aggression Head of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddine Al-Houthi greeted the Palestinian people defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and the resistance in Gaza as well as the West Bank. Sayyed Al-Houthi saluted the souls of the martyred Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyyeh and Iranian President Sayyed Ebrahim Raisi in addition to all the martyrs all the way to Al-Quds. Martyrs Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Ismail Haniyyeh contributed to the confrontation against the Israeli tyranny, Sayyed Houthi said, underlining President Raisi's support to the Palestinian cause. The US-backed Israeli aggression clearly plans to eradicate the Palestinian cause through genocide, starvation and destruction, according to the Yemeni leader who urged the Arab countries to move against the Zionist scheme and prevent the displacement of the Palestinians. Sayyed Houthi stressed that, if the anti-Palestine scheme passes, the Zionist ambitions will head into the surrounding countries, highlighting the stance for an Islamic stance in this regard. Sayyed Houthi warned the Muslims against despair the psychological defeat, calling on them to trust Holy God's true promise regarding the demise of the Zionist entity. Sayyed Houthi underlined that Yemen has decided to support the Palestinian people against the US-Israeli criminality, oppression, and tyranny. Iran to continue standing by Palestine through military ops: Quds Force chief Iran remains committed to supporting the Palestinian cause through both direct backing for Resistance forces and military operations such as The True Promise, according to the Commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), General Ismail Qaani. Qaani hailed the 2023 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood by Hamas, describing it as 'a combination of battlefield resistance and popular resistance.' He said the operation 'introduced a new phenomenon of unity among resistance fronts,' demonstrating the strength and solidarity of resistance forces. The Quds Force commander reaffirmed Iran's unwavering support for the resistance front, stressing that it will 'continue until the ultimate goal of liberating Al-Quds is achieved.' Hamas Leader: Al-Aqsa Flood was a turning point Hamas Politburo Chief, Khalil Al-Hayya, said the current phase is unprecedented in the history of Palestine. He said the Resistance, through Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, has irreversibly reshaped the struggle for Palestine. The operation, he said, has demonstrated the ability of the Resistance to take the initiative and launch attacks, exposing the Zionist entity's security and military failures. Despite months of relentless killing, terrorism, and destruction, backed by Washington's full support, the occupation has failed to break the will of the Palestinian people, he said. According to Hayya, the Al-Aqsa Flood was launched to counter attempts by the regime to finalize its control over Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, as part of a broader strategy of political, economic, and military domination. He said the Resistance has succeeded in revealing the true nature of the occupation as the prime adversary of the Muslim world. The ongoing struggle, Hayya said, has forged a new regional power dynamic, uniting fighters from Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran in a common front against the occupation. Meanwhile, Hayya said free people across the world have rallied to condemn Israel's aggression, reject the US support for its crimes, and denounce the acts of terrorism committed by the occupation, which, he said, disregards all ethical and humanitarian values. Hayya called on the Arab and Islamic world to take a firm stand, saying the time had come to break the silence that the occupation exploits to push forward its expansionist agenda in the region. He said it is the duty of the entire Muslim Ummah to defend Al-Aqsa and support the people of Gaza and Palestine in their struggle. Any compromise on even a fraction of Al-Aqsa would be an act of betrayal against faith, the nation, and the sacrifices of martyrs, Hayya said. The liberation of Al-Quds is not merely a political goal, Hayya stated, but a historical and religious certainty, regardless of the obstacles involved. Nakhaleh: Al-Quds unifying element among Muslims The Secretary-General of the Palestinian resistance movement Islamic Jihad, Ziad Nakhaleh, stated that the Palestinian people are among the strongest in the world and that Al-Quds serves as a unifying force for Muslims. 'Our people have demonstrated their strength and have not budged in the face of global conspiracies. Al-Quds has always been the greatest weapon in the world.' Nakhalah honored the martyrs of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, saying 'these brave men fought the enemy with unparalleled courage.' He said the martyrs, through their sacrifices, 'proved the truth of their promise to God and to the supporters of the Resistance.' 'Despite the sacrifices, the bond of unity within the Resistance in the region will never be broken. The Palestinian people will stand firm on their land and will accept nothing less than their rightful soil.' People fighting for dignity are invincible: Mezher Deputy Chief of Popular Front for Palestine Liberation Jamil Mezher stressed that Al-Aqsa Front exposed fragility of Zionist entity, adding that Gaza would remain steadfast against Israeli aggression. Mezher affirmed that rights must be taken by force, not donation, adding that peoples who fight for their dignity are invincible. 'Resistance will continue until the goals of our people and our nation are achieved in the liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine. The blood of the martyrs will not be shed in vain, but will remain a light illuminating our path to victory.'
