Injured person rescued from woods on Gale Road in Warwick
WARWICK, Mass. (WWLP) – An injured individual was rescued from the woods near Gale Road in Warwick Wednesday afternoon. Chicopee woman charged with arson following Belcher Street fire The Warwick Fire Department shared in a social media post that crews were called to a report of an injured person approximately a half mile into the woods on Gale Road Wednesday afternoon. A UTV with the Orange Fire Department was requested to assist with the incident. Emergency crews worked together to remove the individual from the woods, who was then brought to the hospital by the Orange Fire Department to be treated. Traffic lights out at ‘Carroll's Corner' intersection in Orange due to crash
ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) – Traffic lights at the 'Carroll's Corner' intersection in Orange will be out for an extended period of time following a motor vehicle accident on Saturday. School bus, car involved in crash on Amherst Street in Granby The Orange Fire Department said that at approximately 12:12 p.m. on Saturday, a motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of West River Street, East River Street, and South Main Street. The control box for the traffic lights was reportedly destroyed as a result of the crash. Orange Fire said that the traffic lights are no longer functioning, and that drivers in the area should use extreme caution. No information was provided as to when the lights were anticipated to regain function. 22News will provide updates as more information becomes available. Orange house fire leaves two dogs, three cats dead
ORANGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A house fire in Orange left multiple pets dead, and one firefighter was injured due to falling debris on Sunday evening. Crews put out cardboard compactor fire at Holyoke Mall On Sunday at 4:07 p.m., the Shelburne Control Regional Dispatch received a call from a resident about how smoke and flames were coming from their neighbor's house. When the Orange Fire Department arrived at 41 Rogers Ave, they began putting out the fire. Fire was seen coming from the front and side of the building, with heavy smoke visible on all sides. No one was home at the time of the fire. Additional fire crews were called in to help put out the flames, as well as to check for more pockets of fire and hot spots. Two dogs and three cats died in the fire. One firefighter received injuries from falling debris, but is expected to be okay. The cause of the fire is being investigated by Troopers assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Orange Fire Department. The residents of the home will be staying with friends and family, as the home was determined to be a total loss. Two-alarm structure fire on School Street in Greenfield
GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Fire crews are working to put out a two-alarm fire on School Street in Greenfield Sunday morning. Marshal Mania kickoff party raises funds for 72nd Holyoke Saint Patrick's Parade 22News received reports of the fire just before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, as well as details regarding requests for mutual aid. All occupants have been reportedly evacuated from the building on 72 School Street, but their conditions are unknown. The Orange Fire Department was one of the crews responsible for providing mutual aid, and they reported that a combined crew of full-time and on-call personnel has been at the location of the fire for the last few hours as of approximately 10:00 a.m. Orange Fire also reported that a cat had been rescued from the fire. 22News has reached out to the Greenfield Fire Department and is currently waiting to hear back. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
