Sydney Sweeney shows off FIVE different looks in one day including chic suits and a dramatic gown during incredibly stylish press tour for her new film Echo Valley

Sydney Sweeney stepped out in no less than five different looks as she promoted her new film, Echo Valley, in New York on Wednesday. Especially in recent years, actresses and actors have used fashion to complement their promotional tours and draw attention to the upcoming film release. And the Hollywood actress, 27, took full advantage of the marketing technique as she stepped out in an array of eye-catching looks this week. First thing in the morning, Sydney, who has been working with working with stylist Molly Dickson, was spotted leaving her hotel wearing a chic nautical Coperni look. Sydney wore a black button-through vest with a white striped sailor collar, which she styled with a pleated white mini skirt with a fun asymmetrical hem. The White Lotus star completed the ensemble with a pair of black Wayfarer sunglasses and sported a pair of heeled knee-high boots. By the time she arrived for her Good Morning America appearance, Sweeney had swapped into an archival Jean Paul Gaultier suit dress. Embracing the 'no pants trend', Sydney showed of her toned legs in a pair of brown pumps, which perfectly complemented the tone of the jacket and tie. The jacket is from Jean Paul Gaultier's fall 2005 collection that was sewn up the centre and teamed with a matching tie. Sydney has embraced the fashion marathon element of the press tour and was later seen out again in another brown ensemble. This time, Sydney was sporting Oscar de la Renta from the fashion house's fall 2025 collection as she once again exited her luxury hotel. Her outfit was a lightly blue checked silk co-ord, including a short-sleeved pussy bow blouse teamed with a pair of wide-legged trousers. She added a further pop of colour with a pair of pale blue heels, while accessorising with quirky shades and a cream clutch bag. By the evening, Sydney was onto her third look as she attended the film's premiere. The starlet embraced 'method dressing' as she attended the event wearing a scarlet gown, which boasted a train following her down the carpet. The dress appeared to be a nod to a moment she has previously discussed in the film, where she arrives on her mother's doorstep covered in blood. Sydney stars opposite Julianne Moore in the psychological thriller, where she plays an addict named Claire and follows the story of how a mother will go for their child. Speaking about the plot previously, Sydney said: 'My character Claire is not the best daughter and she puts her mom through a lot. Claire shows up covered in blood at her mother's doorstep. She attended the premiere with Julianne and Kyle MacLachlan, who plays her father, where the sizzling sensation put her décolletage on display in a plunging gown. Her luxurious scarlet frock was cinched in around her enviably svelte midsection before flowing into a luxurious skirt that flowed across the floor. With ruched accents around her tiny waistline, the sumptuous dress accentuated Sydney's curves to full advantage as she sauntered across the carpet. She later looked incredible as she headed to the afterparty of her Echo Valley premiere at Lincoln Ristorante. She slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film The Hollywood star, who styled the look with a pair of red pumps, stopped to snap selfies with a fan who caught her outside the swanky eatery Sydney slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film. The form-fitting style of the dress flattered her hourglass shape, while the asymmetric hemline showed off her toned legs. Sydney wore her blonde locks loose in soft waves, while sporting a face of soft glamorous make-up in a nude pallet. The Hollywood star, who styled the look with a pair of red pumps, stopped to snap selfies with a fan who caught her outside the swanky eatery. The multiple outings came shortly after she finally broke her silence on her split from Jonathan Davino. Sydney and Jonathan, 41, started dating 2018 and got engaged in 2022 but kept their romance largely out of the public eye. Over the past few months, though, they were trailed by a swirl of rumors that they had called off the wedding, fueled by Sydney's sightings without his ring. Last week she finally put the swirling speculation to bed by confirming her relationship status while plugging her new film to The Times. When she was asked whether she was still planning her wedding, she replied: 'No,' and when prodded on whether she was single, she said: 'Yes.' Julianne posed proudly beside Sydney at the premiere this Wednesday, demonstrating the resemblance between the pair. The Oscar-winning actress brought back memories of the 1980s in a black gown with raised shoulders that appeared to have been done in velvet or velour. Her unmistakable red hair was teased into a silken bob, and her makeup brought out a luminous glow in her complexion as she beamed next to her onscreen daughter. Julianne attended the gala at AMC Lincoln Square on the arm of her casually dressed son Caleb Freundlich, who has followed her footsteps into showbiz and become a singer-songwriter under the name Caleb Moore. Sydney and Julianne also gathered together for a group shot with their co-star Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the husband of Julianne's character. Kyle, Julianne and Sydney also stood for pictures with their dashing castmates Edmund Donovan, Domhnall Gleeson and Albert Jones. Directed by Michael Pearce, the film also features Fiona Shaw, who is best known to moviegoers around the world as Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia. Echo Valley will receive a limited theatrical release in the United States this Friday, and next Friday will become more widely available on Apple TV+.

‘The Phoenician Scheme' Star Mia Threapleton on Crying During Her Standing Ovation and Mom Kate Winslet's Cannes Advice

We all had dinner together afterwards, too. I'd changed out of the green dress and didn't have shoes on because I couldn't deal with heels anymore. There was a little balcony bit where we were, so I went out onto it. It was deadly quiet outside, but the stars were up and you could just hear frogs, and I could see everybody sitting together and it was the first moment that I actually had just for myself, to absorb it all. Then I had another little cry. Tell me more about that green Oscar de la Renta gown. People have been speculating that you were paying tribute to your mum's 1998 Givenchy by Alexander McQueen Oscars dress, the year she was nominated for Titanic? It's so funny, because I didn't know that she'd worn this dress. It wasn't intentional at all. As soon as the film wrapped, I thought, if this goes on a red carpet, I have to wear green, because that color is important to Liesl—she has these green stockings and green eyeshadow, which are her signature. This Oscar de la Renta dress was gorgeous and it made me so happy, but yeah, I had no idea that she'd worn something similar. Someone mentioned it to me the morning after and I thought it was hilarious. Threapleton, 24, at the Cannes premiere of The Phoenician Scheme. PascalA 22-year-old Kate Winslet at the 1998 you're wearing McQueen today as well. I've always loved this stuff for as long as I can remember. I must have been about 11 when I went to see 'Savage Beauty,' and I became completely obsessed with McQueen. I think your mum was also very young, just 20, when she first came to Cannes. Did she give you any advice for your first time here? She said, 'Try not to be sick out of your nose. Just breathe!' I've been so busy while I've been here, I haven't really spoken to her at all. Winslet, aged 20, at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival. Threapleton at the photo call for The Phoenician Scheme. Has she, or the rest of your family, seen the film yet? No one who is close to me has seen it yet, but I can't wait for them to see it. That's another reason why the premiere felt so big—I was suddenly like, oh, wow, everyone's going to watch this. The cat's out of the bag now. And it comes out in cinemas so soon. I keep seeing the posters everywhere, and I just want to take a dive. I don't really know what to do.

Mia Threapleton steals Kate Winslet's red carpet style as she channels her mum's iconic Oscars gown for her Cannes debut

For her first major red carpet, a 22-year-old Kate Winslet stepped out in an emerald green Givenchy gown at the 1998 Oscars. And more than two decades later, her 24-year-old daughter, Mia Threapleton, wore a strikingly similar Oscar De La Renta dress yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her film The Phoenician Scheme. Mia sported an emerald green embroidered dress and looked the spitting image of her mother as she posed alongside the film's director Wes Anderson. Kate's 1998 gown was custom designed by Givenchy chief designer Alexander McQueen. She said: 'It was like an embroidered sculpture. I have to be honest, the dress was not entirely comfortable to wear or to sit down in. But it was worth it because he had made it.' Mia is starring in her first major feature. Ahead of making her debut at Cannes, she told The Sunday Times: 'I'm going to be like a little shaking leaf!' After playing a maid in the Netflix hit Scoop, Mia stars as Liesl in the dark comedy alongside a stellar cast including Tom Hanks, Bill Murray and Willem Dafoe. Kate, 49, had her daughter with her first husband, the director Jim Threapleton, from whom she split in 2001. Mia explained how she had first told her mother she wanted to follow in her footsteps and be an actress herself at just ten years old. She signed herself up to online casting sites at the age of 15, out of her desire to do it 'on my own'. She added that Kate has been nothing but supportive of her career, while also making sure that she was aware of the difficulties that come with the job. Mia said: 'She was very, very encouraging. But she always – I mean, always – emphasised the hard work that goes into it.' The Phoenician Scheme is the most the star-studded film that has premiered at this year's Cannes so far, but this is no surprise with legendary director Anderson at the helm. Leading the cast is Benicio del Toro, who plays wealthy businessman Zsa-zsa Korda, who appoints his only daughter, a nun as the sole heir to his estate. However, as Korda embarks on a new enterprise, they soon become the target of scheming tycoons, foreign terrorists and determined assassins. Mia stars Sister Liesl, and she joins Michael Cera, Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend and Bill Murray. The film is set to be released in the US on May 30, with hopes it could become Anderson's next big Oscars contender, following his success with The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014.

Arab stars on Cannes red carpet: Balqees Fathi, Razane Jammal, Bella Hadid and more

Arab designers are not the only ones ramping up the glamour at the Cannes Film Festival. A host of Arab stars have already lit up this year's event, including Egyptian actress and singer Yousra and Palestinian-Dutch supermodel Bella Hadid. Various stars brought a distinct take on red carpet style, from a dramatic all-white Tamara Ralph gown to a sharply tailored Berluti three-piece suit. Finished with dazzling diamonds – most notably from Cartier – regional stars are once again setting the global standard for evening glamour. Find out who wore what on the red carpet so far. The Emirati-Yemeni singer took to the red carpet premiere of Dossier 137 wearing a fairy tale-gown by Oscar De la Renta. In two-toned grey, the strapless gown was smothered in crystals across the bodice, before falling away into a full net skirt. Looking like entertainment royalty, the singer paired the look with a smooth bob and a necklace of white diamonds. The Saudi actress attended the Women in Cinema gala, hosted by the Red Sea Film Foundation, in a striking red look by Paris-based Syrian designer Mouthana Alhaj Ali. The drop-waist, puffball dress stood out for its sculptural shoulder straps, which hovered 20 centimetres above her shoulders. The evening, a celebration of women in film, also welcomed guests including Catherine Deneuve, Jessica Alba and Alessandra Ambrosio. A Cannes regular, the Egyptian actress and singer has already graced several events this year, including opening night and the premiere of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. She chose to showcase Arab talent at both, wearing dramatic red by Rami Kadi and a glittering gold sequin gown by Elie Saab, paired with Cartier jewellery. The Lebanese television host has made several appearances at Cannes this year, attending three premieres so far. For opening night, she chose a soft caramel gown by Georges Chakra, followed by a striking red Rami Kadi dress with a tightly corseted bodice for the Dossier 137 screening. She also walked the red carpet at the Mission: Impossible finale, adorned in Cartier diamonds. The Saudi Arabian film producer appeared on the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning red carpet, sharing on social media that he was 'representing Arab cinema with pride' and that the magic of Cannes is 'diversity, storytelling, and global voices'. Dressed by Berluti, he wore a sharp midnight blue satin and wool three-piece suit, finished with Cartier accessories. The Lebanese actress attended the Deux Procureurs red carpet in a sophisticated off-white Dior gown by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The sheer, bead-embroidered bodice was offset by a light, floor-grazing skirt that added an ethereal finish. The Palestinian-Dutch supermodel lived up to her reputation for head turning looks when she walked the red carpet in a dramatic, backless dress by Saint Laurent. The following day, she stepped out in a fit-and-flare dress by French label Jacquemus. The Lebanese actress and beauty entrepreneur made a striking entrance in an all-white gown by Australian couture label Tamara Ralph. Strapless, form-fitting and finished with a dramatic train – possibly testing Cannes's new dress code – the look was pared back, save for a single beaded orchid. She completed it with opera-length gloves.
