Davidstown-Courtnacuddy beat Oulart-The Ballagh but leave room for improvement

Striking almost as many wides as scores is something for 2022 Junior champions Davidstown-Courtnacuddy to address after Sunday's comfortable run-out against the Oulart-The Ballagh second-string in McCauley Park, Bellefield. While the manner in which they shift the ball through the field together with a host of sublime scores were undoubted highlights for M.J. Reck's charges in this Joyces Expert Intermediate 'A' hurling championship Group A round two tie, sloppy finishing has to be a cause for concern.

Faythe Harriers out-point 14-man Oulart-The Ballagh in a tension-filled finish

Faythe Harriers 0-18 Oulart-The Ballagh 0-16 Wexford People It may have been too close for comfort, but the result was all that mattered for Faythe Harriers as they out-pointed 14-man Oulart-The Ballagh to secure a first win in Group B of the Pettitt's Senior hurling championship in Chadwicks Wexford Park on Saturday. The outcome remained in the balance deep into injury-time, with the town team holding a one-point lead when three successive throw-ins 25 metres out at the Clonard end produced three scrambles for possession before the sliothar eventually emerged from the ruck and Adam McRedmond shot the last of the losers' eleven wides. Glynn-Barntown launch stirring comeback to pip Oulart-The Ballagh

GLYNN-BARNTOWN bounced back from a ten-point deficit five minutes into the second-half to defeat Oulart-The Ballagh in Group B of the Pettitt's Senior hurling championship in Chadwicks Wexford Park on Saturday. The sides played out an eerily similar game early in last season's campaign, in which Glynn-Barntown also scored 1-20 and won by a point in Ferns. This one will taste just as sweet for the Kilurin crew after they overcame serious roadblocks on the way to success.
