Outlander's Sam Heughan urges fans to 'be careful' and warns of scammers
The Jamie Fraser star shared the message on social media
Outlander actor Sam Heughan has posted on social media, warning fans about scammers, after previously posting people about impersonating him earlier this year and one woman losing £10,000 after a fraudster pretended to be him.
The 45-year-old star of the Starz series and The Couple Next Door took to his Instagram Stories to share the message.
He wrote: 'Please be careful on social media! Myself (Or manager/agent/family etc) will NEVER reach out Asking [sic] for money or contact.'
The Jamie Fraser star concluded: 'If it's not verified, it's not me. Be careful of scammers!'
Heughan spoke out in February this year, asking his followers to exercise caution and care online with people pretending to be him.
He also issued a plea back in 2024 about scammers, suggesting they are still posing a threat to his fans.
The star's words come after he walked the red carpet at the Outlander: Blood of My Blood LA premiere with the rest of the cast and crew.
The actor can next be seen this autumn treading the boards in the Royal Shakespeare Company's latest production of Macbeth opposite The Crown's Lia Williams as Lady Macbeth.
The star also lends his voice to the factual film Clinging By A Claw, which raises the plight of the endangered Scottish wildcats and the hopes of conservationists to increase the species' numbers.
Those waiting for Outlander's eighth and final season still have some time to go after Starz confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that the last outing would be hitting screens in early 2026.
Before then, fans of the Outlander universe can get their teeth stuck into Blood of My Blood, which started premiering recently and follows Jamie and Claire Fraser's (played by Caitríona Balfe) parents.
The prequel drama series uses the Outlander novels by Diana Gabaldon as a jumping-off point, before breaking new ground with an original story.
The show imagines what if Claire's parents Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) hadn't died in a car accident, but travelled through time.
Moreover, the couple interact with Jamie's parents Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), and are integral to the forbidden, inter-clan romance blossoming.
Heughan has shown his support for the prequel and even posted a trailer for Blood of My Blood on his Instagram account.
He captioned the video: 'So proud of our @outlander_starz family!
'What a journey it has been and delighted to welcome the extremely talented @bloodofmybloodstarz cast to our world.
'The first two cracking episodes of 'Blood of my Blood' are airing now on @starz Can't wait to see more! X.'
Outlander season 8 will air on Starz and MGM+ via Prime Video in early 2026
