Aussie retailer brings back sell-out $29 'dupe' of popular $135 designer item: 'I've had so many compliments'
A hair fragrance inspired by the iconic designer scent Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is back in stock after selling out on its first run.
Saffron Bloom, one of three new hair perfumes from Oz Hair and Beauty, has been compared to the decadently warm and rich fragrance, but at a fraction of the price at just $28.99.
Hair fragrance has been having a moment, with beauty brands and perfume houses both getting in on the trend.
High-end fragrance names such as Diptyque, Tom Ford, Jo Malone and Byredo have released hair-friendly versions of their bestsellers, while Rare Beauty and Sol de Janeiro among the beauty brands who've added hair mists to their offerings.
Since its launch just over 10 years ago, it has cemented itself as a modern classic - luxe, sophisticated and universally appealing.
But that unique, woody yet floral fragrance comes with an eye-watering price tag.
Baccarat Rouge 540 retails for an eye-popping $135 per 70ml bottle (though that is a steal compared to the Eau de Parfum, $438 for 70ml).
In contrast, Saffron Bloom will set you back just $28.99 for 100ml.
It joins two other fragrances, Salted Coconut and Pink Candy, to form a collection that speaks to all personalities and tastes.
Perfect for evoking a feeling of holidays, Salted Coconut is 'a tropical escape in a bottle', infused with a creamy coconut and a hint of sea salt.
Pink Candy is an ultra feminine sugary floral fragrance, sweet without being overpowering.
Saffron Bloom features exotic notes of saffron and amber, light sweetness of jasmine and the 'earthy depth' of cedar, enveloping hair in an 'effortlessly luxe' aroma.

While many would think nothing of adding a few spritzes to their hair while spraying their Eau de Parfum in the morning, the alcohol content of most perfumes can strip the hair of moisture, causing damage with regular use.
A hair fragrance is specifically formulated with lower or no alcohol, and with added moisturising ingredients to protect and care for hair health.
Oz Hair and Beauty's new collection is designed to add a beautiful aroma to hair without damaging or weighing it down.
The alcohol-free formula is suitable for all hair types, including keratin-treated hair, as it is also free from sulphates (SLS/SLES), parabens and synthetic colours.
It locks in moisture to keep hair soft and hydrated, shiny and vibrant.
Customers are raving about the exquisite scent which they say is long lasting and is garnering them plenty of compliments.
'I'm so impressed with this hair perfume!' one shopper wrote of Saffron Bloom. 'The scent is fresh and luxurious without being overpowering, and it lasts throughout the day. Also doesn't leave my hair feeling oily or heavy - just refreshed.
'I've had so many compliments since I started using it! It's definitely become a staple in my haircare routine.'
Another customer added: 'Just got this hair perfume and I'm obsessed! It smells amazing and doesn't make my hair feel greasy at all.
'I've been using it pretty much every day, and the scent lasts forever.'
'With hair perfume trending worldwide, we knew it was time to introduce an affordable yet high-quality option to the market,' said Anthony Nappa, CEO of the hair and beauty brand retailer.
'These scents are designed to be lightweight, long-lasting, and complementary to your haircare routine, giving you a fresh, fragrant finish all day long.'
'Fragrance is such an important part of self-expression, and now you can extend that to your hair with scents that are luxurious yet accessible.'
