Maid accused of stealing money, jewelry from employer
Authorities are on the hunt for a housemaid in San Rafael, Bulacan who allegedly stole valuables from her employer.
The suspect, who had worked for the family for four months, allegedly ran off with jewelry worth P329,000 and cash worth P15,000.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage showed her walking along the road in Barangay Caingin early Saturday morning while carrying a suitcase.
The victim said they discovered the theft when they found their gate open around dawn.
The family hired the maid after posting on social media that they were looking for one. The woman introduced herself as someone from Laoag, Ilocos Norte.
The family said they are determined to press charges against the suspect.
