Felonies The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Wednesday at 11 a.m. Bobby R. Alexander, 32, of Booneville, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, felony shoplifting. Joshua Hanley, 35, of Pontotoc, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, sexual battery. Joshua Allen Holcomb, 38, of Saltillo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug, careless driving, driving with a suspended license, no insurance. Lazarius O. Rogers, 24, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, violation of Intensive Supervised Release (house arrest). Lee County Sheriff's Office The following reports were filed Wednesday by the Lee County Sherif's Office. A Mooreville woman said a gray Kia has been abandoned on Treeside Drive at Highway 178. She said the car was first parked there Friday afternoon, and it was still there Tuesday morning. Deputies had the car towed. A County Road 49, Tupelo, woman returned home around 6 p.m. and found her mailbox had been run over and broken. When she left to go to work around 4 a.m. it was still upright. A neighbor said he saw the mailbox had been toppled when he got back home around 9:30 a.m. The woman had no idea who could be responsible. Felonies The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Thursday at 11 a.m. Cameron Burnett, 33, of Lyon, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, aggravated assault. Bradley Burngart, 40, of Calhoun City, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug. Darius Andrew Pannell, 34, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine. William Patrick Pannell, 38, of Guntown, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, violation of probation. Christopher Tate, 16, of Guntown, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, burglary of a dwelling, attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Lee County Sheriff's Office The following reports were filed Thursday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. A County Road 521, Saltillo, man said he found two puppies on his property and wanted to know if the sheriff's office would pick them up. The deputy explained that they could only pick up animals with a court order or if they were vicious. The man said he would try to find the puppies a home. A County Road 1279, Tupelo, woman said an unknown group of four-wheelers and dirt bikes ride up and down her road at all hours of the day and night revving their engines. She thinks she might know where they are coming from, but she isn't certain. She said she has witnessed an older female holding a toddler with no helmet on. She said on some occasions, the four-wheelers have veered into her lane when driving. Felonies The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Wednesday at 11 a.m. Nicholas Deangelo Berry, 51, of Belden, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, sentenced for false pretense, felony shoplifting. Daniel L. Duvall, 43, of Baldwyn, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, driving under the influence fourth offense, trespassing. James R. Sullivan, 58, of Saltillo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, sentenced for possession of a firearm by a felon, shooting into a motor vehicle. Willie M. Taylor, 54, of Booneville, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, possession of methamphetamine, Jackie Weaver, 47, no address listed, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, Mississippi Department of Corrections warrant. Lee County Sheriff's Office The following reports were filed Wednesday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. A County Road 1559, Nettleton, woman said her neighbor has four hogs that are not being properly cared for. She said they have no water and are not getting enough to eat. She said the mud in their pen is so thick they can barely walk. She requested a welfare check. A County Road 231, Blue Springs, man said he has been in the hospital for more than a week. While he has been away from his property, several items came up missing, including an anvil, a string trimmer and a grill. He does not know who stole the items but believes more items were taken. He said he will call back when he finds out what else is missing. A County Road 520, Brewer, man said he heard what sounded like an ambulance drive past with its sirens going around 9 p.m. About five minutes later, he heard 40-50 gunshots. He did not see any cars pass by during that time and did not see anyone. He wanted to report the gunshots since it is 'abnormal for that many gunshots to get fired at that time of night.' Burnett, 22, of Belden, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, possession of fentanyl. Jennifer Lynn Carruthers, 36, of Nettleton, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, bond surrender for possession of methamphetamine. Ashley E. Harmon, 39, of Plantersville, was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, violation of probation. Clayton J. Harville, 56, of Bruce, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, possession of a Schedule II drug. Keri Marita Marshall, 39, of Como, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug, careless driving. David McLaurin, 35, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, possession of a Schedule II drug, expired tag, suspended driver's license. Brandon L. Rackley, 31, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, felony shoplifting. Christopher A. Thomas, 50, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, violation of probation, disorderly conduct, disobeying an officer, public intoxication. Lee County Sheriff's Office The following reports were filed Wednesday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office. A County Road 855, Shannon, woman said there is a brown pit bull roaming the Brewer community. She said the dog has been coming onto her property and acting aggressive. The dog backs and sounds vicious. The dog has a collar with a hook hanging from it. She has been unable to locate the owner of the dog An AT&T employee responded to County Road 151, Tupelo, to deal with 'service issues.' Someone had taken the cover off a junction box and cut off the fiber splice bundle. He said it appeared they used a saw to cut through the wiring. A Guntown construction company said overnight, someone came onto a County Road 2500, Guntown, construction site and stole a Craftsman generator and a Little Giant 16-foot ladder. The items were sitting inside an unattached garage at the site of the house being built. There are no doors on the house or garage at this point.
