Miri district police chief ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said the operation, carried out by Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of Miri District Police Headquarters, took place at Jalan Bandaraya Miri, Jalan Marina Utama, Jalan Miri Bypass, Jalan Tanjong Lobang, Jalan Tudan, Jalan Permyjaya, Jalan Taman Tunku, and Jalan Canada Hill, from 10pm on July 26 until 3am on July 27. 'During the operation, 13 vehicles were inspected, and all of the motorcycles were seized under Section 60 of the Road Transport Act 1987 after being found modified from their original structure and for further inspection,' he said in a statement. He added that 13 individuals were also inspected and 57 PDRM (K) 257 summonses were issued for various traffic offences. Mohd Farhan said that similar operations will be carried out from time to time to ensure road users comply with traffic laws and regulations.
