Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board bans 14 from casinos
PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — Fourteen people have been placed on Pennsylvania's casino exclusion list, including one woman who left her infants alone in the car. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has placed each of them on the Involuntary Exclusion List, which will prevent them from gambling at any Pennsylvania casino or online. Pennsylvania gambled over $558M in April, over 10% increase from last year Among the people excluded is a female patron who left her twin 7-month-old babies in a car at the Valley Forge Casino Resort for 5 minutes to obtain a cash out at the sportsbook. 'Actions such as these to deny statewide gambling privileges serve as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended in the parking lot or garage, a hotel, or other venues at a casino since it creates a potentially unsafe and dangerous environment for the children,' The PGCB said in a release. There were also nine people who got placed on the Involuntary Interactive Gaming Exclusion list due to fraudulent activity while online gambling. Multi-state online poker play starts in PA
(WKBN) — Pennsylvanians can now play online poker with players in other states. Governor Josh Shapiro signed an agreement last week accepting Pennsylvania as the sixth member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) for poker. Other states include New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, West Virginia and Michigan. 'This is a commonsense step to support hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians, grow our economy and bring in more revenue to support our schools, our seniors, our small businesses, and more,' Shapiro said in a news release. 'We're making sure Pennsylvania remains competitive in a rapidly growing online market.' The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) said this expansion expands the pool of online poker players by more than 50% and makes Pa. the largest state in the shared market that now covers over 38 million Americans. The multi-state play opens on Monday with BetMGM and PA Borgata Online. Other platforms are expected to expand soon. Pennsylvania joining shared online poker market
(WHTM)– Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro signed an agreement to bring Pennsylvania into a shared multi-state gaming agreement for online poker. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), Pennsylvania will be the sixth member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement for poker. Subscribe Now The agreement will allow the PGCB to work with online market operators to ensure that Pennsylvania players are offered the same assurances as those provided through other online gaming options, according to the PGCB. Online players in Pennsylvania will be allowed to participate in multi-state games on April 28, 2025. The PGCB says BetMGM and PA Borgata Online are already slated to participate, with others expected to join. The five other states in the shared pool include New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, West Virginia, and Michigan. Four banned from Pennsylvania casinos for leaving children alone to gamble
PENNSYLVANIA (WTAJ) — Four men have been added to the Involuntary Casino Exclusion List after they left children unattended to gamble at casinos. According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), 17 people have been added to that list, but four of whom were added for leaving children unattended. The exclusion list prevents them from entering casinos in Pennsylvania and betting online. FBI: Pennsylvania ranked top 10 for cyber crime complaints in 2024 Here are the details for each incident: A male patron left three children, ages 2, 11 and 12, in a vehicle in the parking garage at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course for two hours and six minutes while he gambled at table games A male patron left minors unattended on two occasions at Rivers Casino Philadelphia: Two children ages 3 and 12 in a vehicle in the parking lot for nine minutes while he gambled at the sportsbook Two children, both 14 years of age, in a vehicle in the parking lot for 10 minutes while he gambled at the sportsbook A male patron left three children, ages 8, 11 and 13, unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot at Presque Isle Downs and Casino for 10 minutes while he gambled at the sportsbook A male patron left a 12-year-old unattended in the lobby of Live! Another four people who were added to the list were part of a dice sliding team from Texas. 19 banned from Pennsylvania casinos for leaving kids unattended
(WHTM) — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) announced they have placed 19 individuals on its Involuntary Exclusion List due to leaving children unattended. The PGCB says the decisions included placing two individuals who left a minor or minors unattended while gambling in a Pennsylvania casino: A male patron who left two children, ages 8 and 13, in a vehicle in the parking lot of Valley Forge Resort Casino for 52 minutes while he gambled A female patron who left an 8-year-old unattended in a hotel room at Live! Subscribe Now The Board also denied a request for removal from the list: A female patron who, in 2022, left three minors, ages 10, 14, and 15, unattended in a vehicle in the parking garage of Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course for 1 hour and 41 minutes while she gambled at slot machines The Board also added eight more people to the exclusion list whose presence in a casino would be inimical to the interest of the Commonwealth due to various crimes or actions. Nine others were placed on the Board's Involuntary Interactive Gaming list for fraudulent actions. The PGCB says that with these bans, 1,363 individuals are now on the Board's various Involuntary Exclusion Lists. The lists prohibit individuals from gaming in a casino in Pennsylvania, via an online betting site regulated by the Board, or a Video Gaming Terminal ('VGT') location.
