5 Indonesians held in connection with killing of worker in oil palm estate

PETALING JAYA : Police have arrested five Indonesians to assist in investigations into the fatal stabbing of a worker in an oil palm plantation in Paloh, near Kluang, yesterday.
Kluang police chief Bahrin Noh said all five men, aged between 21 and 31, were arrested around Paloh at about 1am today, Bernama reported.
Police were alerted when the man, also an Indonesian, died at the Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital yesterday from a stab wound in the chest at about 9.36am.
Bahrin said investigations found the suspects had no prior convictions for criminal offences. Their urine tests came back negative.
They have been remanded for seven days.
