No new leads in Pamela Ling's disappearance, say police
KUALA LUMPUR: The statement recordings from Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh's children have yielded no new leads, says police 'We have recorded statements from a total of 47 people as of yesterday (May 25). So far, there have not been any new leads,' said Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa after a media appreciation ceremony at Bukit Aman on Monday (May 26). He added that he could not confirm whether Pamela had another partner. 'However, I confirm that another person (aside from her children), who is a friend, had their statement taken in Singapore,' he said. He also said that Pamela was supposed to meet her lawyer at a nearby petrol station, but it was cancelled, adding that this was a normal routine for them. Police investigations also showed that there had been no money transfers to other individuals from Pamela's bank account. 'Our investigations also reveal that she did not possess a passport from another country. 'Her husband has been cooperative, and we made the most of the 24 hours we had. Although our application for remand was denied, we were still able to interrogate him while he was in our custody,' he said. On April 9, Pamela was summoned to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya to assist with an investigation under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act. However, she went missing while on her way to the appointment. Her lawyer filed a police report regarding her disappearance on the same day. So far, no ransom demand has been made regarding her disappearance.

Investigation into Pamela Ling's disappearance a police matter, says MACC
PUTRAJAYA: The investigation into the disappearance of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh is solely a police matter, says the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). "It (the abduction) occurred outside the MACC and we are leaving it to the police to investigate. Whatever they want, we have provided," said Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki at a press conference at the MACC headquarters here on Thursday (May 22). "To make it clear, Ling was arrested over her failure to present herself to the MACC – that is an offence. It is separate from our investigation," he said. He added that he would leave it to the courts to decide if the MACC had overstepped their boundaries. On April 9, Pamela was summoned to the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya over an investigation under the MACC Act 2009 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act. However, she was abducted while on her way to the appointment and her lawyer filed a police report on her disappearance the same day.
