Man dies in Hong Kong after collapsing on board yacht due to suspected heatstroke
A man has died in Hong Kong after collapsing on board a yacht due to suspected heatstroke, the Post has learned. Police said the vessel was near Bluff Island's Ung Kong Wan when the 54-year-old collapsed, with his wife reporting the incident shortly after 5pm. Heatstroke was suspected to have been the cause, according to a source. 'Officers arrived at the scene after receiving the report, with the man being airlifted by helicopter to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment while he was unconscious,' the force said. 'He was later certified dead, with his cause of death to be determined by an autopsy.' The Observatory issued a 'very hot weather' warning on Saturday, with a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius recorded in parts of the city.

Hong Kong teen arrested for alleged drug trafficking after friend, 16, dies
A Hong Kong teenager has been arrested for alleged drug trafficking following the death of his 16-year-old friend, in whose home police found cannabis and liquid methamphetamine, the Post has learned. The 17-year-old suspect was detained on Friday evening in Sau Mau Ping. The arrest came a day after a 16-year-old boy was found unconscious by his mother at their home in Heng Fa Chuen, Chai Wan, and later died at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. Sources said the arrested teenager and the deceased were friends. The 17-year-old boy had visited his friend's flat in Heng Fa Chuen on Thursday. Police said they seized two e-cigarette cartridges, around 14 grams of suspected cannabis, suspected liquid methamphetamine and a filter from the Heng Fa Chuen flat. 'They are believed to be related to the case,' the force said. The 17-year-old has been detained on suspicion of trafficking in dangerous drugs.

Driver arrested after truck rolls forward on steep Hong Kong road, crashes into lamp post
Hong Kong police have arrested a man on suspicion of dangerous driving after his truck, which was reportedly parked on a North Point road to unload goods, rolled forward and crashed into a lamp post. Officers and firefighters arrived at the scene after receiving a report at 9.15pm on Sunday. The driver, 47, managed to free himself, while a passenger, 77, was rescued by firefighters after he became trapped. The driver sustained injuries to his forehead and arms, while the passenger was injured in the leg. Both were sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment. An online video shows the truck barrelling down the sloped Cheung Hong Street towards King's Road. It then made a 180-degree U-turn on King's Road before crashing head-on into a lamp post at the pedestrian crossing. The driver and passenger have been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident. Hong Kong helicopter rescues 3 women after Big Wave Bay coastal hike turns perilous
Three women were rescued at Hong Kong's Big Wave Bay on Sunday after one sustained injuries when she fell into the sea while exploring the rocky coast, while her two companions were left stranded on a cliff edge. Fireboats and marine police were dispatched to the scene after police received a report at 2.34pm that the coasteering trip by the three foreign women turned perilous near Kwun Yam Shan at Big Wave Bay in Southern district. A Government Flying Service helicopter was called, airlifting the injured woman, who was conscious with facial swelling and abrasions, to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment. The helicopter then returned to take the remaining two women to the heliport near Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. The force is investigating the case. Coasteering is an activity that involves navigating along a coastline, staying as close to the waterline as possible, often combining climbing, swimming and cliff jumps.
