Hong Kong helicopter rescues 3 women after Big Wave Bay coastal hike turns perilous
Fireboats and marine police were dispatched to the scene after police received a report at 2.34pm that the coasteering trip by the three foreign women turned perilous near Kwun Yam Shan at Big Wave Bay in Southern district.
A Government Flying Service helicopter was called, airlifting the injured woman, who was conscious with facial swelling and abrasions, to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment.
The helicopter then returned to take the remaining two women to the heliport near Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai.
The force is investigating the case.
Coasteering is an activity that involves navigating along a coastline, staying as close to the waterline as possible, often combining climbing, swimming and cliff jumps.

A former top executive of a Hong Kong-listed company surrendered to the city's anti-corruption agency on Tuesday after more than a decade on the run. Warrants for the trio were issued in February 2011 by a magistrate, but by that time they had already left Hong Kong, ICAC said. Li, Che and Zhang had conspired with the company's secretary and financial controller to defraud shareholders between November 2003 and July 2007, it added. Li, 59, faces two common law charges of conspiracy to defraud. He is scheduled to appear at Eastern Magistrates' Courts for a mention hearing on Wednesday. 3 arrested for alleged theft worth HK$80,000 on flight from India to Hong Kong
Hong Kong police have arrested three men for stealing property worth more than HK$80,000 (US$10,190) during a flight from India to the city. The force said on Tuesday that the arrests the previous day were made after police received reports from three Indian nationals who had flown to Hong Kong from the country. The victims placed their backpacks on the overhead rack of the cabin, and subsequently found that cash and other property were lost, prompting them to seek help from the force. Three mainland Chinese men aged between 47 and 58 were arrested and detained after a preliminary investigation. The trio had allegedly stolen a pair of bracelets worth HK$50,000 and Hong Kong dollars and foreign currency cash valued at HK$34,400 from the victims. The case is being investigated by a criminal intelligence and support team at the force's airport division.

Hong Kong preschool worker sacked for using job ad to make advances on applicant
A private kindergarten in Hong Kong has sacked an employee for using its hiring platform to make romantic advances on a female job applicant and asking her to be his personal assistant after an unauthorised interview. Advertisement Joyful World International Nursery and Kindergarten said on Monday that it found the staff member had used an online recruitment platform to publish misleading job advertisements for his own purposes outside working hours, stressing such actions were not condoned by the school. The job-seeker on Sunday recalled her experience of being interviewed earlier last week by a male staff member surnamed Chan at one of the five Joyful branches for the position of a part-time childcare assistant. According to a social media post by the woman, the advertisement specifically stated that the employer was looking for candidates aged 16 to 25 years old for a job that paid an hourly rate of HK$90 (US$11.50). But the advertisement asked interested candidates to send their personal details to a WhatsApp number, instead of emailing their application letter to the preschool. Advertisement 'When I went to the kindergarten in the afternoon, there was no one there except the male staff member,' the woman said in her post. The applicant also said the man claimed he had forgotten to ask her some questions during the job interview and offered to w alk her to the MTR station. But during the walk, he proceeded to ask her personal questions of a romantic nature instead.
