Blackwater take control in extra-time to see off Réalt na Mara in Under-21 football clash
Wexford People Today at 07:30 While Division 2 of the Panda Under-21 football championship on Wednesday was dominated by games that weren't played, the value of getting a team out there where at all possible was shown in the clashes that did take place, with a couple of quality match-ups. Rivalling St. Mary's (Maudlintown) and Shelmaliers from the higher grade for game of the round was Réalt na Mara against Blackwater, which went all the way through extra-time before the visiting Over The Water club emerged with their spot in the Division 2 Cup knockouts.

Rathgarogue-Cushinstown pip Fethard by point in Under-21 hurling championship
Wexford People Today at 15:30 Some outstanding games were played in the opening round of the Panda Under-21 hurling Premier/Division 1 championship on Wednesday, with dramatic finishes in a few clashes. Rathgarogue-Cushinstown's victory over a gallant Fethard was probably the tie of the round. The St. Mogue's boys led by 0-7 to 0-6 after a tight first-half but Niall Kehoe scored eight points, Seán O'Brien got six, Brian Dillon added one and Bobby McGrath netted the critical goal as the hosts took their spot in the top tier (1-15 to 0-17).

Crossabeg-Ballymurn edge St. Mary's (Rosslare) in tight Under-21 hurling Division 2 battle
Wexford People Today at 09:30 Five of the ten scheduled games in Division 2 of the Panda Under-21 hurling championship were completed on the field of play on Wednesday, with the winner in three of them separated by just two points or less. Crossabeg-Ballymurn edged St. Mary's (Rosslare) in a titanic battle, emerging with a 1-17 to 2-13 success.
