The 17th season of Amitabh Bachchan's legendary quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati is back on television screens, and with it, a fresh round of tricky general knowledge questions that have left even well-prepared contestants scratching their heads. Known for featuring questions often found in competitive exams like the UPSC Civil Services, the show has once again doubled as both entertainment and an impromptu study session for lakhs of viewers.

The show also touched on cultural norms (Which item is not allowed inside temples? – Shoes), political history (Syeda Anwara Taimur was the first woman chief minister of which state? – Assam), and wildlife (Where is the Asiatic wildcat mainly found in India? – Thar Desert).
Cricket followers got an easy one, 'Complete the name of this cricketer – Kannur Lokesh__?" The answer: 'Rahul". Geography questions included 'Kodaikanal is located in which state?" – 'Tamil Nadu", and botany fans were asked 'Which part of the cocoa plant is used to make chocolate?", the answer was 'Seeds".
One high-value question was a global history challenge, 'Which of these civilisations was not located in America?" The answer, 'Mesopotamian", was worth serious prize money.
By the end of the episode, several contestants had walked away with hefty winnings, thanks to their quick thinking and solid GK base.
