Best fan content from Panthers' 2025 Fan Fest

The Carolina Panthers faithful had their night. Due to ongoing construction at the team's practice site, fans have not been permitted to attend this summer's training camp. But they got their moment on Friday, at Fan Fest. Head coach Dave Canales thanked and credited the 40,000 or so in attendance for bringing some much-appreciated juice to practice. "That was a lot of fun right there, just great energy," Canales told reporters, via "So much love for the fans that came out. Lots of great energy, the guys needed it; we're deep in the camp, so, all the help we can get to just kind of create those types of practices. "The guys don't understand the impact they can have on people just by spending a little bit of time, by going to see someone, taking a picture with somebody. You know, connecting with our fan base because they mean a lot to this town so I love moments like that we're really happy to do that." So, let's highlight their moments. Here are some of the best fan photos and videos from a memorable evening . . . Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

Panthers reporter hints at team's next possible addition

The Carolina Panthers might not be done with the reconstruction of their defense. Darin Gantt of covered the team's recent defensive overhaul in this week's "Ask The Old Guy," his regular mailbag series. And when asked about possible additions to the secondary, Gantt throws out a few interesting names and thoughts: If they're going to be out shopping for more help, the good news is there are multiple qualified guys at the spot they're thinnest at (safety). Guys including Julian Blackmon (who visited in March), known commodity Justin Simmons (who was an All-Pro in Denver for Ejiro Evero), and several more are still sitting there on the market. They spent the spring looking at young options there, but could stand to be more experienced and deeper. As Gantt notes, Blackmon met with the Panthers earlier this offseason. The 26-year-old has spent each of his five NFL campaigns as a member of the Indianapolis Colts, amassing 300 combined tackles and 10 interceptions since 2020. Carolina, according to multiple reports, has also expressed in Simmons—who spent the 2022 season under Evero. That year saw the two-time Pro Bowler and four-time second-team All-Pro notch a league-leading six interceptions along with a career-high three forced fumbles. The team's safety room currently features free-agent signee Tre'von Moehrig, 2025 fourth-round pick Lathan Ransom, Demani Richardson, Nick Scott and a trio of undrafted rookies (Isaac Gifford, Jack Henderson and Trevian Thomas). Panthers QB Bryce Young speaks on the importance of offensive continuity

The Carolina Panthers haven't used the past few weeks to add many new faces to their offense. But that, predictably so, isn't a problem in the eyes of quarterback Bryce Young. Young chatted with Darin Gantt of from the site of his youth football camp last weekend. And while his unit hasn't exactly seen the upgrades many of the team's fans have been hoping for, the 23-year-old passer spoke about the importance of building on what's already there. Advertisement "It's a privilege for sure," Young said of the offensive continuity. "Obviously, the same staff and so much on the offensive side is staying the same. So just for us to continue to build and grow, it's something that we really look forward to. "But also we know that there's work to be done, and just knowing the work that's necessary to put in, we are excited about that part too, just to grow and build. So it's encouraging. I wouldn't want to be in this with any other group, so we're all excited for the year." Much of Carolina's offseason work has been done on their defense, which allowed an NFL-record 534 points in 2024. The very first day of the legal tampering saw the team come to terms on deals with defensive linemen Tershawn Wharton and Bobby Brown III, outside linebacker Pat Jones II and safety Tre'von Moehrig. Their work on offense, conversely, has been aimed towards keeping the band together. The Panthers have re-signed a handful of offensive players—including linemen Austin Corbett, Cade Mays and Brady Christensen, wide receiver David Moore and tight end Tommy Tremble. Advertisement To this point, the group will welcome in two newcomers—former Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle and tight end Colin Granger, who was playing college basketball just a little over a month ago. The Panthers could also go to their well of nine draft picks later this month to add to the offense. Young will be entering his third pro campaign following a resurgent 10-game stretch that ended his second. The former No. 1 overall pick, from Week 8 on, completed 61.8 percent of his passing attempts for 2,104 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions while leading the Panthers to a 4-6 mark.
