Dundee United sign Camara on two-year deal

Dundee United have signed midfielder Panutche Camara on a two-year deal, subject to Guinea-Bissau international, 24, leaves Crawley Town and previously played for Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town and Charlton has scored 26 times in 291 club appearances and once in four international games."Panutche will significantly improve both the physicality and technical ability of our midfield," manager Jim Goodwin told United's website. "He is an aggressive ball winner and displays excellent composure and creativity when in possession across the park."His professionalism, work ethic and adaptability make him a natural fit for the culture we're building here."And Camara said: "I've worked so hard to play in a top division - I always give everything."It'll be a new experience to play in Europe but that is a dream for everybody."

Panutche Camara and Yevhen Kucherenko are closing in on moves to Tannadice Dundee United are closing in on the double signing of Panutche Camara and Yevhen Kucherenko. United have agreed a two year deal to land Camara from Crawley Town and he travelled north to finalise his move earlier today. ‌ Boss Jim Goodwin has also agreed a deal with LNZ Cherkasy to sign Kucherenko. ‌ The Ukrainian keeper has also agreed terms and a move is now subject to him obtaining a work visa. Goodwin is well on his way to strengthening his UEFA Conference League -bound squad that kicks off next month against Luxembourg side UNA Strassen. The United manager has already signed striker Zac Sapsford and defender Iurie Iovu. Camara has checked in and will be the next over the line. The 29-year-old was made available after Crawley Town were relegated and United moved quickly. Camara was in his second spell at Crawley and had spells at Plymouth and Ipswich Town. ‌ He was flagged up by new head of recruitment Ross Goodwin although they were both at Plymouth they weren't there at the same time. Kucherenko will fight it out for the No. 1 spot, with Dave Richards, if he is given the green light in the coming weeks by the British Government. The 25-year-old came through at Shakhtar Donetsk and has had spells at Uniao Leiria and Kolos Kovalivka. ‌ He then moved on to establish himself at Dila Gore and Cherkasy. United have had Jack Walton in goals over the last two seasons but he is now going back to fight for his place at Luton Town.
