We asked for your views on Dundee United's 2-2 draw against Falkirk.
Here's what some of you said:
Kieran: Fair result at a ground we have struggled at in previous seasons. Performance was miles better than what we saw in the two legs against UNA Strassen. Panutche Camara could be an early shout for POTY a midfield machine. Onto Vienna we go on Thursday
Ricky: We have to learn how to play on a plastic pitch. Every time we play on one we struggle more. Bad mistakes cost us the game, we have to be more positive and pass the ball better - it's either too long or to short.
Jim: Thought all the new players have began to bed into the team more than in past performances but worried that with injuries to Ryan Strain, Kristijan Trapanovski and Will Ferry the subs bench look a bit bare of experience.
Terry: Three games in and we are sitting with two wins in Europe and an away draw in the league opener. Hardly a crisis!
Kenny: Much better. Camara had a great game and we were unlucky not to pick up all three points. A good shift from the whole team and a definite step up in attitude and application. Two great goals!
Steve: After looking ragged despite progressing in Europe, United showed signs in Falkirk that they're settling and beginning to develop better understandings. Some good individual performances too. A decent start.
Uddy: Some really positive signs throughout the game that this new squad is starting to gel. Some of the football we played was really encouraging. Just a shame it was the basics that let us down - Falkirk's second equaliser being the perfect example. Regardless of that, I feel far more positive after this performance than I was after the matches on the last two Thursday nights when struggling past UNA Strassen. Rapid Vienna will be a far tougher test, but that's exactly what being in Europe is all about.

Deal 'closer than ever' as forward demands move

Liverpool's focus in the last few days appears to be on completing yet another incoming deal. It's been a record-breaking transfer window already - with sporting director Richard Hughes overseeing around £260m worth of spending. But the Reds want more. Alexander Isak is firmly in the club's sights - and could arrive for £135m in a British record deal. But simmering in the background are several mooted outgoing deals. 🔴 Shop the LFC Store 🚨2025/26 LFC x adidas range🚨 LFC x adidas Shop the away range TODAY LFC x adidas Shop the home range today! Tyler Morton - for example - is putting pen to paper on a permanent deal which will see him join Lyon for around £15m. Others - such as Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott - could see their Anfield tenures cut short if bidding clubs meet the Reds' asking price. 🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas away range . The 27-year-old arrived from Juventus in a deal that could reach £12.5m - signing a contract until 2028. Chiesa pushing for Serie A return But it's been a year to forget for the Euro 2020 winner - who has fallen out of favour in the national team set-up and barely featured for his new club. It's now being reported in Calciomercato that Chiesa has requested a return to Serie A - with Atalanta, Napoli and now AC Milan coming forward with their interest. 'Federico Chiesa is ever closer to a return to Serie A,' the report reads. 'On the fringes of Liverpool 's technical project, also in view of the next World Cup, the former Juventus player is reportedly pushing to return to Italy, convinced that only in this way can he find the consistency, confidence, and desire to play that he has in fact lost in England.' AC Milan deal unlocked A deal with Napoli has been on hold for quite some time - as it appears the Serie A title holders are unwilling to match the forward's contract demands. That leaves the door open to AC Milan. Should the Rossoneri successfully offload Samuel Chukuwueze to a Premier League suitor in the shape of Fulham then it could unlock their move for Chiesa. 'With the departure of Samuel Chukwueze, Milan could seriously insist with Liverpool for Federico Chiesa,' the report continues. 'The Cottagers could offer up to €20 million for Chukwueze, a figure that could encourage the Rossoneri to sit down at the negotiating table with Liverpool for Federico Chiesa.' © IMAGO - Federico Chiesa Liverpool

Chelsea in ‘direct talks' over Borussia Dortmund transfer

Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly in talks over a possible deal for Carney Chukwuemeka in the summer transfer window. The midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan with the Black and Yellow, making 17 appearances in all competitions, including four at the FIFA Club World Cup, but only started once. Chukwuemeka has been heavily linked with a move to RB Leipzig as a possible makeweight in a deal that could see Xavi Simons move to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have been in talks with both Leipzig and Simons in recent weeks as they look to sign yet more players before the start of the new season. However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the east German outfit have enquired about signing Tyrique George, which may have opened the door for BVB to land Chukwuemeka. Chelsea in 'talks' with Borussia Dortmund over Carney Chukwuemeka transfer Romano has since claimed that Dortmund have 'reactivated direct talks' with Chelsea for the 21-year-old. Chukwuemeka 'wants the move', with 'negotiations ongoing between the clubs to find a solution'. Chelsea do not want to send the player out on loan again as their preference this summer is a permanent transfer. His initial loan move included an option to buy, which was reportedly in the region of €35 million (£30.4m). Chukwuemeka signed for the Blues from Aston Villa in a £20m deal in 2022, but has been unable to break into the first team. He has started just four Premier League games since the move to west London and is open to an exit in search of regular minutes. Newcastle Weigh Striker Options as Liverpool Circle Alexander Isak

Newcastle Transfers: Striker Search Intensifies as Isak Interest Grows Isak Unsettled Amid Liverpool Pressure Newcastle United are preparing for a turbulent few weeks in the transfer window, with Liverpool circling around prized asset Alexander Isak. The Premier League champions have tabled an opening offer for the Swedish international, but Newcastle were swift and resolute in their response. The bid was rejected outright, with the club reportedly valuing Isak at £150 million. That price tag, however, may not even prove decisive. Newcastle are unwilling to entertain any exit unless they secure a viable replacement. The striker has become pivotal under Eddie Howe and remains central to their ambitions both domestically and in Europe. Sesko Talks Ongoing Despite Setback Newcastle's top target to replace Isak is RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. Aged just 22, the Slovenian has drawn admiring glances from St James' Park for months. However, Leipzig rejected the Magpies' opening bid and talks remain delicate. To complicate matters, Manchester United are believed to be preparing their own approach for the striker, threatening Newcastle's pursuit. Photo IMAGO Aghehowa Considered as Contingency With the Sesko deal far from guaranteed, Newcastle have identified an alternative. Spanish journalist Eduardo Burgos reports that Porto forward Samu Aghehowa is now under serious consideration. 'Newcastle United is interested in the situation of Samu Aghehowa,' Burgos confirmed. The former Atletico Madrid striker is valued at €80 million, mirroring Newcastle's proposal for Sesko. However, Porto are reluctant to sell and may hold firm for another year. 'They have been monitoring his progress since the beginning of the year,' Burgos added. 'He is one of the options being considered for the forward position, although they have not yet made an offer. Porto wants to keep him for another year: they are asking for €80M.' Pressure Mounts in Final Weeks As Liverpool's intent hardens, and with Manchester United eyeing the same targets, Newcastle's transfer strategy is under increasing strain. Whether it is Sesko, Aghehowa or another name altogether, the Magpies may need to act fast to avoid being left behind in this fiercely contested market.
