Paris Hilton Would Like to Be an Art Teacher
In ELLE's series Office Hours, we ask people in powerful positions to take us through their first jobs, worst jobs, and everything in between. This month, we spoke with Paris Hilton. You may know her from the early aughts reality show The Simple Life and coining iconic phrases like 'That's hot,' but Hilton is also a mother, entrepreneur, and child's rights advocate through her nonprofit organization, 11:11 Media Impact. While the world once watched her quit a job by saying, 'Bye gorgeous,' the multi-hyphenate is now dispensing her actual best (and worst) career advice, plus the impetus behind her new skin care line, Parívie, launching May 19. I moved to New York City as a teenager and was a model. I loved walking in all the runway shows, shooting campaigns, and meeting people like David LaChapelle and creating incredible art with him. It was just so much fun to move from LA, where I had lived this very sheltered life, to New York City to follow my dreams. Being a mom. I've done and accomplished so much in my life that I'm proud of, but being a mom is the most fulfilling job that there is. On The Simple Life, when Nicole [Richie] and I worked at this dairy farm. It was the first job that we had when we moved to Arkansas for the show. It was really a lot. It made me never want to drink milk again. Getting the milk from cows is pretty gross, so that's why I drink oat milk. An art teacher. I love art, so I think that it would be a lot of fun to teach an arts and crafts class. I guess I do already. It's not like a school, but when the kids come over with their cousins, I'll do art days. We'll paint together, glue little cute things, and make collages. I just love being around kids, and I love art. My grandmother always instilled so much confidence in me and made me believe in myself. She told me to never dim my sparkle, to always go for my dreams, and to work hard. Being around her made me the woman that I am today. My mom told me not to do The Simple Life. My parents and Nicole's parents both told us not to do it. It was like the first reality show, so she didn't know what to expect. Then the night after the show ran, my mom called me and said, 'You know, I'm never wrong, but [I was]. The show is the most hilarious and amazing [thing] I've ever watched. I'm so proud of you girls.' I have always been obsessed with skin care. I've tried every single type of product. I wanted to create something that really worked, that had a whole system with incredible ingredients, perfect texture, but was also backed by science with amazing results. In my career, I've always been 10 steps ahead, so I wanted to put all of that into creating the skin care line of my dreams. I built a spa in my house called the Sliving Spa. I have all of the most high-end, medical-grade equipment like hyperbaric chambers, cryotherapy chambers, red light therapy beds, and Hydrafacial machines. It's epic, and it's all pink. Then we have Parívie all over as well. It's a place that I love to go to relax and just get ready, because I'm constantly on and working every single day. Paris Hilton marks major career milestone: 'I'm so proud...'
Paris Hilton is "so proud" of her latest fragrance. The 44-year-old heiress has just released her latest perfume - which she has named ICONIC - and believes it is for her fans that want to "be unforgettable" while they wear it. She told E! News: " I am so proud that I just released my 30th fragrance. It's called ICONIC. And it definitely lives up to its name. Everything from this gorgeous, luxurious bottle, [to] the most beautiful, unique scent ever. I can't believe this is my 30th fragrance. Dream come true.. "I love this fragrance so much. It's something that I wear day and night. And it's just really perfect for any occasion. It's really for someone who wants to make a statement and be unforgettable." The former 'Simple Life' star "just can't get enough" of her own product, and admitted that she has "so many choose from", having released so many over the years. She said: "With this fragrance, I love it so much that I love to spray it in a tunnel and walk through it. It's one of those scents that you just can't get enough of. "I love layering this fragrance with my other fragrances. Because I have 30, I have so many to choose from. But this one really smells beautiful with my fragrance Platinum Rush or Gold Rush." Paris made her debut on the fragrance market with her eponymous 'Paris Hilton' perfume in 2004, and has released between one and three in almost every year since. The businesswoman has also recently launched her skincare line Parívie, and explained that she is "grateful" to her mom Kathy for the advice she gave her as a teenager. She told PEOPLE: "This is something that I've built from the ground up. It was something I was involved in from the start. This is the first time where I have ownership. I really wanted it to reflect me in every way and basically take all of my knowledge from so many years being a skincare lover. Traveling all around the world, going to the best spas, meeting the most incredible facialists and estheticians. I've learned so much and I took all of that knowledge and created Parivíe with my team. "I'm so grateful that I listened to my mom, because most of my friends were just never using any skincare."

Paris Hilton is 'so grateful' that she listened to her mom's skincare advice
Paris Hilton is "so grateful" that she listened to her mom's skincare advice as a teenager. The 44-year-old heiress has launched her skincare line Parívie and insisted that it is something she "built from the ground up" but also explained that her passion for looking after her complexion comes from the wisdom of her mother Kathyy. "I'm so grateful that I listened to my mom, because most of my friends were just never using any skincare. "They were just laying out in the sun getting fried, and I was always the one with a giant hat and sunglasses being like, 'I'm not going in the sun." The former 'Simple Life' star is offering products such as That's Radiant Daily Purifying Cleanser and That's Firm Contouring Neck Cream - which are both in a nod to her famous "That's hot!" catchphrase from the early 2000s - and insisted that she has always made sure her lines are "affordable" for the general public, and has been inspired by the beauty products she saw in her childhood. She said: "My product lines have always been about affordable luxury, so I wanted it to feel and look gorgeous. "Growing up, I would always see my mom's boudoir with all of her perfumes and her skincare, it always looked so pretty. So, I just want everyone to feel that way when they are doing their skincare."

Paris Hilton lags behind Rihanna, Kylie with latest announcement
Paris Hilton has never been known for being on time - unless we're talking about red carpets. Don't miss the move: SIGN UP for TheStreet's FREE Daily newsletter Now, the original influencer is making headlines again with a new project that feels both deeply personal and oddly delayed. Related: Target's move into this massive market will delight customers While she once dominated pop culture and helped shape the blueprint for the modern celebrity brand, this time she's arriving to a trend that peaked years ago. And the space she's stepping into? It's one that's packed with A-listers like Rihanna and Kylie Jenner, who've turned their names into multi-billion-dollar empires. Image source: Parivie On May 7, Hilton officially launched Parívie, a luxury skincare line she's been quietly developing for two years with co-founder Alexandra Marsh. The brand promises to deliver "future-forward" solutions for people who are always "on" - powered by inPHinite Youth Technology, a proprietary blend of peptides, antioxidants, and fermented extracts. It targets screen fatigue, environmental stressors, and the toll of living a fast-paced lifestyle. Related: Oura launches genius features to take on Apple, Fitbit, and Whoop If that pitch sounds familiar, it's because it is. Rihanna and Kylie Jenner launched their skincare brands back in 2020 and 2019, respectively, setting the tone for a rush of celebrity-backed beauty lines that also included Brad Pitt, Travis Barker, Hailey Bieber, and Selena Gomez. So what makes Hilton's line different? According to her, it's the combination of cutting-edge science and lived experience. "I know what it's like to always be on," Hilton said in the brand's press release. "After two years of developing Parívie, I wanted to create something that empowers those moments we take for ourselves." The timing is curious. Celebrity skincare exploded in the late 2010s and early 2020s. But in 2025, consumer skepticism is higher, the space is crowded, and even legacy beauty brands are struggling to stand out. According to Statista, the global skincare market is expected to hit $198.35 billion in 2025, with a steady compound annual growth rate of 3.53% through 2030 - proving there's still serious money in looking good. But opportunity brings saturation-especially in the celebrity and luxury space. New brands now compete with legacy giants, influencer empires, and tech-savvy upstarts. Hilton is betting her story still resonates. Parívie pitches itself as more than skincare: it's a ritual, a lifestyle, and a science-backed solution for nonstop lives. Its six debut products aim to deliver results without overcomplicating routines. There's also a give-back component. Parívie Gives will donate 1% of sales to support women through wellness grants and community programs. Whether it will land with consumers is unclear. In true Paris fashion, only time will tell if "that's hot."
