Paris Hilton is 'so grateful' that she listened to her mom's skincare advice
Paris Hilton is "so grateful" that she listened to her mom's skincare advice as a teenager.
The 44-year-old heiress has launched her skincare line Parívie and insisted that it is something she "built from the ground up" but also explained that her passion for looking after her complexion comes from the wisdom of her mother Kathyy.
She told PEOPLE: "This is something that I've built from the ground up. It was something I was involved in from the start. This is the first time where I have ownership. I really wanted it to reflect me in every way and basically take all of my knowledge from so many years being a skincare lover. Traveling all around the world, going to the best spas, meeting the most incredible facialists and estheticians. I've learned so much and I took all of that knowledge and created Parivíe with my team.
"I'm so grateful that I listened to my mom, because most of my friends were just never using any skincare.
"They were just laying out in the sun getting fried, and I was always the one with a giant hat and sunglasses being like, 'I'm not going in the sun."
The former 'Simple Life' star is offering products such as That's Radiant Daily Purifying Cleanser and That's Firm Contouring Neck Cream - which are both in a nod to her famous "That's hot!" catchphrase from the early 2000s - and insisted that she has always made sure her lines are "affordable" for the general public, and has been inspired by the beauty products she saw in her childhood.
She said: "My product lines have always been about affordable luxury, so I wanted it to feel and look gorgeous.
"Growing up, I would always see my mom's boudoir with all of her perfumes and her skincare, it always looked so pretty. So, I just want everyone to feel that way when they are doing their skincare."

"So, I guess I was sad when we were done with the show, but I never expected to come back, and it's pretty awesome. "I love it. We have so much fun doing it." Meanwhile, Ashley recently admitted she hopes her daughter Jupiter, four, takes inspiration from her 'High School Musical' character Sharpay Evans. The actress - who also has Emerson, eight months, with her husband Christopher French - told People: "I just think that Sharpay is someone who knows what she wants and I think that's always been really exciting. "I love playing a character like that because I've always known what I wanted. So I feel like that is something to look up to." Ashley loves that her daughter has already developed a passion for movies. The actress shared: "I never thought I'd see the day. But, you know, she's obsessed with tons of movies. This is not the first one she's obsessed with." Ashley revealed that Jupiter is a big fan of the 'Wicked' and 'Tarzan' movies. She said: "She was Glinda from 'Wicked' for the longest time. So she does love the pink, but she also loves 'Tarzan'. So I don't know. It changes."

James Blunt insists being a "one-hit wonder" is "healthy" for his ego. The 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker became an overnight star following the release of the 2005 single from his debut album 'Back To Bedlam', and the 51-year-old pop veteran admits he is "happy" to be called a "one-hit wonder" as it means he doesn't get too big for his boots. He told US publication PEOPLE: 'In the States, I am [a one-hit wonder]. You have to understand — I am so happy with that because, as I put on my social media profiles, one hit is all you need. 'I've been called a one-hit wonder by people who are none-hit wonders. And so I'm thrilled with that.' Cynthia Nixon bemoans Sex and The City for being 'incredibly white'
Cynthia Nixon disliked how "incredibly white" 'Sex and The City' was. The 59-year-old actress played Miranda Hobbes in the hit HBO series, but Cynthia thinks 'Sex and The City' wasn't reflective of the real world. Speaking to Sky News, the actress explained: "The one thing that didn't really sit well with me in the past was how incredibly white the show was." Meanwhile, Cynthia recently revealed that she has an "intense" friendship with her 'And Just Like That...' co-stars. The actress has relished the experience of reuniting with Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker to shoot the revival series.
