The stolen car war discovered at nearby Wevelgem an hour later, and the two men were arrested later that day. Amoah's lawyer Gregory Everaert claimed: "The CCTV images showed that he was walking round the parking area, but he did not approach the [victim's] car." Amoah has previous convictions for theft in the Netherlands. He has been without a club since leaving Patro Eisden two summers ago.
